Roblox came out before Minecraft, Minecraft is $26 and Roblox is free. I own both Minecraft and Roblox and I'd say Roblox is by far the best game of the two. Better graphics, But minecraft is on more consoles, But most of the ports are garbage unlike Roblox Mobile and Roblox Xbox One. IMO |

Plus, I've played Roblox for 8 years and it hasn't gotten old yet. I've played minecraft for about 4 or 3 and its a bit boring now and then. |

I play Minecraft, and it's pretty fun, but Roblox is much better in my opinion. Minecraft makes more updates regularly, but Roblox just has way more possibilities. |

Minecraft is good for simplicity. Roblox is good for complexity. Minecraft is made of meter wide cubes that make up everything, and for most users its easy and simple to make a big build, but for small builds and small details, Minecraft is lagging, and Roblox becomes better: Roblox is much more complex and to a noob, they must open up Roblox Studio, which is a map maker, and overwhelming. However, users are awarded with precision and the ability to make smaller structures or more advanced details. . . Also, one can modify game mechanics using studio, Minecraft needs mods, hacks, and external programs. . .

I'm not sure because they are both good games and there is no point in trying to argue over which game is better than one game and they are both not bad games so let's just give up arguing about this (I think both games are awesome) |

minecraft is only fun with mods, i've been playing that game for as long as i've been playing roblox (7 years)
and let me just say, minecraft NOW is not fun to me and i honestly prefer ROBLOX over minecraft

ROBLOX was wayyy better in the old days. some of these new updates, like safe chatting literally everything. i spend all my time in ROBLOX in studio, building and scripting for cash to turn into USD. games here are so PG. ROBLOX cant really handle their crap as the players seem to update every 30 minutes or so and takes another 15 minutes to finish. ROBLOX has seem to gone in maintenance quite frequently, and even one time shutting ddown the site, refreshing likes and dislikes of games and most likely lost many players's work in studio, including mine. also, they are charging WAY more for robux than they should be. might as well get BC. Probably most people who play ROBLOX as much as others play minecraft, spend money on the game. meaning, over the long run, Minecraft is sometimes the cheaper option. While ROBLOX allows for more creativity, Minecraft lets you make a map probs way bigger than ROBLOX players could without any lag. On the other hand, Skills in ROBLOX can be used for other things in real life that could actually get you somewhere successful(scripting) and ROBLOX offers more jobs than minecraft does, i think if it offers jobs. There is the fact that Minecraft works on more platforms, and while i have played at a friends house on an XBOX 1, gameplay and controls is another point for ROBLOX. HOWEVERRRRR...... Again, due to roblox updates, maintenance, and customer service(appeals, usually taking longer to reply than a week ban lasts) ROBLOX itself isnt that fun... however learning to script and expressing creativity through building in studio, results in a sometimes high paying reward, while minecraft offers nothing that can be of use to you in adult life. so, i guess my final decision would be, neither one of them. steam all the way boizzzz |

Oh yeah, Minecraft doesn't have stupid clickme cyber. .. you knows trying to steal our a c ounts and most servers are advertised on sites and to the regular person are often legit. Maybe poorer than roblox, but fully legit.
But its like comparing a tank to an aircraft carrier.
Minecraft is a building/open world survival game/whatever servers online try to do within the first two genres.
Roblox is a super engine that allows people to make games and make it easy for people to play said games. The only thing that's really similar is the art style, which is very different, but the most similar. |

minecraft got pretty boring to me, not really into those kind of games. ROBLOX has all types of genres of games, but it censors everything. |
