Not in age, like record date. I'm thinking one of the oldest I listen to right now is Blind Willie Mctell. He recorded his first record in 1927 but he played the blues since the early 1920s. Wondering how far back you kids reach nowadays. |

I am somewhat familiar with them, one of the DJ's of a local radio station loves them and his co-hosts always make fun of him for loving them so much hahaha. |

I have this album called Anthology of American Folk Music and the oldest ones are, the dates are the dates of their records and I can't find any date for the Stoneman song the booklet may say something or just the year:
1. "Uncle Bunt" Stephens - March 29, 1926

Tim, it's easier and takes up less room to ask the oldest artist you listen to and then specify in the body that it's the recording that matters.
