BRIEF OVERVIEW
The drill handbook is referred during sessions.In this handbook,the primary commands will be explained in concise detail.Refer to this handbook if in uncertainly about a drill.
TALKING PROCEDURES
Talking Procedures are the required methods of speaking whilst at tryouts or trainings. The title of trainer must be noted.
"Yes,[trainer's title]."
"No,[trainer's title]."
"Permission to speak,[trainer's title]?'-Used when inquiring.
"Permission to fall in,[trainer's title]?'-Used upon entry when trainees are already in a task.
'Permission to fall out,[trainer's title]?'-Used when trainee requests to go AFK
ASSEMBLY
Assembly refers to the intermediary sessions prior to training,between drills,and as ordered by trainer.For example,it is when trainees are gathered to be visible to the trainer when a session commences.
"PTS"-When in effect,do not speak unless if invoking the permission ("Permission to speak,sir")and being granted permission.
PTS is always active unless otherwise stated.
"STS"-Line up,shoulder-to-shoulder ( hence the abbreviation STS.)
"SFL"-Line up,one behind another ("Single File Line")
"Prepare.'-Prepare for march but do not move.
"March.'-Trail in the steps of the trainer.
"Halt.'-Immediatly stop,regardless of position.
'Adress gaps.'-Adress any gaps in either "STS' or "SFL'.
"Fall in.'"-Join the assembly of soldiers in their current task.
"Stand at rest."-Soldiers may speak and turn in line.
"Stand at rest."-Soldiers will use the 'at ease' tool where applicable,they will not speak but may turn in line.
"Stand easy.'-Soldiers will use the 'at ease' tool where applicable,they will not speak but may turn in line.
"At rest.'-Do not move but speak.
"Attention"-Do not move but may speak.
GRAMMAR JACKS
Grammar Jacks is a drill used to test grammar of trainees.It is the procedure of typing numbers,starting at one,until designated number.Between each number is a hop.The grammar portion comes in the trainee's usage of proper punctuations.The following are common mistakes
"one"-Although the number is correct,it lacks capitalization if its first letter and a period at he end.
The fix:"One."
"Twenty-two'-it's preferable to remove the hyphen (although grammatically incorrect) but this also lacks a period at the end.
"Fourty." the only problem with the spelling.
The fix:"Forty."
FACES
Faces is a drill that involves body movement.It is generally a quick-paced drill that requires sharp perception.The trainer types a face that the trainees must imitate,Grammar's prominence is visible in punctuation ,capitalization,and spelling.A trainer may purposefully use improper grammar.
"Center face."-Face the original direction of the assembly.
This command overrides any preceding commands.
"Left incline."-Turn 45 degrees left of your current position.
"Left face."-Turn 90 degrees left of your current position.
"Right incline."-Turn 45 degrees right of your current position.
"Right face."-Turn 90 degrees right of your position.
"About face."-Turn 180 degrees of your current position. |
