Gosh, this took a long time to type...
Choose your own adventure: Apocalypse Rising!
You are walking around in a forest clearing. You see a sign that says "Kin". You see hostile players looting a body, and there is a patriot in a nearby tent that they do not see. Will you risk your life and sneak past them, or dash back into the clearing and wait for them to leave? If you wait, go to the next paragraph. If you sneak past them, continue reading. You hide behind a blue building and slowly walk past them, hoping they do not see you. They leave the body and walk away. If you go to the dead player, skip the next paragraph and read the paragraph after that. If you are intent on getting the weapon, continue reading. Now's your chance. You enter the green tent and find a different player holding a patriot. You're dead in a moment. Too bad.
You go deeper into the forest and wait. After a minute, the players then walk away from the body. That was easy, you thought. Then, you see a different player holding the precious patriot. Great. The player ignores the body and runs in the direction the group left. You hear shots and screams. If you loot what remains in the fallen player's backpack, go to the next paragraph. If you retreat, keep reading. You back away slowly and then run up a mountain. At the top, you see several blocks. Upon more investigation, it's a bunker. You can still see the players. Suddenly, they turn towards you and run up the mountain. There's a boomerang - shaped bent crowbar next to the door, as if someone was trying to get inside but failed. If you throw the crowbar at the players like a boomerang and run away, skip the next paragraph and read the paragraph after that. If you pull open the bunker door and hide, keep reading. You use the crowbar and pull the door with all of your strength. It suddenly flew off and slid down the mountain into other player. They group is distracted. You then find yourself tripping. You fall into the deep tunnel and hit the ground hard, dead. Too bad.
You take a deep breath, preparing to risk it all. Finally, you run to the body and find a map and GPS. Suddenly, everything is completely silent. You turn around the block and see all of the players dead, with all of their items for the taking. That patriot is finally yours. Good job.
You throw the crowbar and hit a player, distracting the group. You ignore them and the bunker and run away. Then, you see a base. Perhaps it belonged to the group? You enter without a thought and see mines all over the floor. You hear the group coming over the mountain. If you disarm the mines and loot the place a lot, go to the next paragraph. If you quickly grab a pistol and RUN, keep reading. You grab an unknown pistol and run out of the base. The group is aiming at you. You realize you forgot to get ammo. Too bad.
After a minute, all the mines are disarmed. You take them and find food, water, healing items, a sword, pistols, and ammo. The group comes just as you plant a mine right at the entrance. They weren't ready at all - it was an easy victory. On e of them has a patriot and black backpack. You leave the base with a full inventory. Good job.
