I'm trying to sell old limiteds I don't need and give the proceeds to friends as I could be leaving soon, but the market fee is really annoying. I'm selling something for 6.5K and I want 6.5K not 70% of MY PROPERTY that I AM SELLING. Kind of annoying. Makes me want to leave even more. |

Regardless of where you sell something, a fee exists somewhere.
Using a real world example, an auctioneer will charge the seller 15%. This fee goes towards paying the auctioneer for their services - The same could be seen with ROBLOX, in that the fee is there is merely a brokerage fee (for using the service) but also to act as an economic measure to remove currency from the market. |

Market fee exists to control inflation and prevent market manipulation but 30% is a little high imo, 20% would work

I agree,I used to be 3-month OBC and I saw that my fee is 10% when someone buys any of my products.
But as a non-BC currently,Marketplace fee is 90% and I hardly ever earn anything.
I support your thought because of my own exeriences with it.

ROBLOX has a fee because they don't want robux to be used over and over again. The fees burn some of the robux out of the system so people have to buy more.
The fees are there so ROBLOX can be richer.

100% agree with Jetch. Likewise, its not like the Market Place fee R$ goes anywhere (unlike taxes, theoretically speaking) so it is just wasted. |
