It was a couple years back on ROBLOX when I received my first spam message. Being honest, I thought it was real, but then I plainly found out that I was fake. After 20 spam messages received, I decided to tamper with my settings so that only my friends, people I follow, and my followers could message me. That stopped the spammers from getting into my inbox, then I checked the comment section of every game on the front page of ROBLOX, and there were, no kidding, over 100k spam messages on each page. Of course, not to long after, the admins decided to remove the comment sections. Everyone along with me thought that the spam will finally stop. BUT BOY, WERE WE WRONG! A couple weeks ago, everyone found themselves getting "friend-spammed" by spam accounts saying "click me" or "read my desc" with obviously false advertisements, about 5 requests every day for each player. Banning these accounts do absolutely nothing, because these spam accounts are auto generated every hour, and if you try to block every spam account, you'll just take up all your "blocked players" spaces. I have come up with a solution that many of you might consider. Since these bots are being generated by other bots, we should add a "Prove you are not a robot" Captcha or some human verification step to stop the bots from signing themselves up, thus, no more bots in general. Another suggestion is to add an account age limit, where a player with an account that is less than a month or so cannot friend, message, or interact with any player out of game, but can easily play games with other players and talk with them through the in-game chat. This will stop the rate of the generated bots from getting released. One last option, which is very simple, is the ability to turn off friending and in-game chat. There should be a setting in the options tab where you can tamper with the option to turn off or on in game chat, friending, messaging, and other interaction options. If you are in favour of bringing these solutions into reality, please reply with your reason! = = = = = Thank you, ItsSlyrite = = = = =
