Many of us know by now that there are so many bots just creating accounts and sending us friend requests that have links to scams in them.
Why not add a CAPTCHA to the user sign up page? Since they're known to stop bots dead in their tracks, this could ultimately resolve this issue and ensure that it doesn't happen again.
I know that it annoys the daylights out of me when i wake up to 100+ scam friend requests. |

that won't work, these people that make the bots have high incentive to make them and will do anything as it earns them a lot of money
if roblox added a captcha to signup, they would simply pay captcha solving services to solve the captchas, it would also stop a lot of non-english kids from being able to sign up

But that's the thing, they would have to PAY the solvers, which means most of them wouldn't want to pay for basically nothing in return.

they're not getting "nothing" in return, it's making them a LOT of money and it's definitely enough to pay the $0.84 per 1000 captchas price

The problem with botting is that practically anyone can do it. Few people would actually pay for a captcha solving service, so the amount of botting would be largely eradicated if a captcha was added.

it literally costs under a dollar for 1000 captchas to be solved right now, and those 1000 accounts they get in return get them a lot more than a dollar from the surveys that get solved on their sites

Even if that's still a possibility, it would still LARGELY reduce how much botting activity is being done.

it would barely even budge the activity. there might be no bots for like an hour, but soon enough they will come back. the people are already paying for web hosting and already paid for the people to develop the realistic-looking site and a simple captcha won't stop them

the point doesn't change, it earns them money, and if they added a captcha they wouldn't just simply give up and stop making hundreds of dollars, they would pay services to solve captchas for them, it costs only $0.80 per 1000 captchas at the moment

Still, what's so harmful about Roblox adding a captcha? Even if there's a way to get around, there's no harm in adding one, and it would still partially get rid of "script kiddies"

And may a mention, a lot of people who use these bots don't have a single penny in their bank accounts? As I'm saying, it would still partially get rid of some of the bots currently.

people who don't speak english, they won't be able to join if they get a captcha and they don't understand what "Select around the traffic sign" means

they probably don't have a bank account that's correct, but they have peypals with hundreds of dollars in them
