For the love of god EVERY update this site gets a little worse, And I know it seems like I'm just jumping on the "Lets all hate the roblox updates" bandwagon but it really is true. The avatar update was the first one that we all really hated(at least it was the first one to make me angry). You've been making these updates to "make it easier for new players on roblox" but the fact is you haven't helped anyone. you've made half of the people really angry and half of the people have a less pleasant first time experience. And than you decided that because of a possibility of children leaking ##### ####### (because that will definitely happen ALL THE TIME) you proceed to censor numbers... you coulda just censored numbers for >13 accounts... But no, that's not enough is it, you decide that EVERY ACCOUNT needs to have numbers censored... was this necessary? Of course not, but whatever it's not made me wanna kill someone yet so I guess it's fine? But than... the newest update... Wow Roblox... just wow. some how to help new players (because if you think the last two updates helped this one will REALLY help all dem new players) YOU REMOVE THE SERVERS LIST AND REPLACE IT WITH THE "friends in servers list) roblox... I know you don't care about your users. (If you did than you would listen to all the people who don't like the new updates) I know you only do this to make money... But I ask you, is it worth paying for something that only continues to upset me? Is it really worth paying 240 dollars for obc alone last year on something that doesn't care if its users are having fun, but instead just wants to make money off of them... I'll give you the answer roblox... no. |

Where did you even get that answer from? ############################################################### --Explanation on why the public server list was removed. And don't speak for the population of Roblox. I liked the avatar update and I'm sure many other people did too. I don't mind the public server list being removed, either. If you're unhappy with Roblox, you don't have to play it. Just remember that this is a FREE site that you don't have to pay for, it's an option. The people at Roblox wont revert an update that makes sense. Sure, if this list removal somehow stopped people from entering games or completely broke the site, they'd revert it~~ But there's no reason they should revert just because some people cried about it on the forums. Stop. You're not helping anyone. ~~Meh~~ |

The base essential parts of the game have only changed for the better. Things like avatar customization and even chat are not important. They could make everyone limited to a single flat white robloxian with no face and no chat and the games would still be there and you would still be able to make your own games.
Avatar customization was changed because the dominant playerbase is now on mobile devices, and a much younger generation of kids is now playing, so stuff is simplified. It sucks that its not optional, but Roblox gave their reasons and gave their warning.
Under 13 chat was restricted for a variety of reasons, kids nowadays have grown up in a social internet culture. When i was a kid, you never gave out any personal info online no matter what. Now its almost expected of you to give out every bit of identifying information ever to any site youre on, so kids dont really know much better, and you cant leave that up to parents because parents arent always the smartest. So the company has to cover themselves by making it near impossible for kids to reveal personal information, that includes names, numbers, etc.
The servers list wasnt that important anyway, it was useful for games with very few people, <100 players, so you could pick a server with a playercount you like, but 99% of people would just click "play now" instead and go with whatever.
If the game is causing you distress and you dont think your 240$ a year is worth it, then why are you still paying? Speak with your wallet, if Roblox sees users are no longer buying BC or Robux because of changes they will make new changes to fix that.
Ive been playing this game for nearly a decade, it has constantly improved for the better, theres been a few changes that upset users but in the long run they were better for the game as a whole, there are just so many things we have now that we didnt have before, and unless you were really here to experience a wider spectrum of Roblox's history, i cant look at your argument and say "this is a valid point", because its an argument against a few minor changes that supposedly have ruined the game, but nobody ever pays attention to the great stuff thats been added over time. |

Oh and they censored numbers to prevent kids from giving their personal information like phone numbers, however I agree with them removing the "friends in servers list". Its very stupid, I tried to join a game with staff at ROBLOX Server Guard, but I would always be put in an empty server and there was no way to go in the game with them unless they're my friend.

So the new update is for preventing bots... Listen I know many people didn't use the servers icon that much... BUT with certain games it can be quite handy, take for instance any of the game show games (the amazing race, Big Brother, and both survivors) When joining one of these you will often be forced to wait nearly 50 minutes before you can play if you have a bad server. With this new update I will often be forced to join the same server OVER AND OVER and the game wont connect me to a different server... I would rather deal with the bots than wait 50 minutes to play a game because I can't join a server where I would only need to wait 5 minutes... And by the way was the new icon necessary? Have you ever heard of the "Join game" icon on all of your friends profiles? Yeah we defiantly needed a second join game button, over a= a tool that is not only used often but is a key tool in server navigation for smaller games. And also I know I don't HAVE to keep playing this game, but stopping now would be like ditching your dog at a pound because it peed on the rug, I might be mad at it, but I've put to much time and effort into it to just get rid of it! |

I and a few others have had trouble using games that utilizes ROBLOX universe. We often end up in one player servers.
It IS important to see how much people are in a certain server so you know what size you'll be playing with, it IS important to know what kind of people you might be able to meet as well. There are alot of ROBLOX users that utilize this method to maybe join servers to even out sports teams, be in a small server to get familiar with the game and more.
There seems to be no sound reason as to why ROBLOX had this removed, why can't we have both? needless to say they are barely transparent with their updates right now |

actually removing the server list is an inconvenience, say a server your in gets hacked, you can't go to a different server.
they really need to think before they release the updates, the server my friends are in wasn't that bad, but I'm sure something worse is on the horizon.
I'm pretty sure the updates will make me no longer interested in the site. And I'm sure some of the scripters that make front page games are feeling the same way, imagine if asimo3089* (the guy who made jail break) left because of a careless update that make making games harder, like you have to pay a large amount of robux to update the game (it sounds ridiculous but it could be possible, say roblox got itself into a downward spiral because more players are leaving the site due to more carless updates than new players can fill their spot causing roblox to struggle finically, as a last ditch effort to keep the lights in the room they release an update like this which will lead to more people quitting. I could have predicted roblox's death, laugh all you want but with the way they are releasing updates without a second thought it may be more likely than you or me want it to be.)
That was just one (unfortunately) likely way an update could make a scripter / large group of players / new members not be interested in the site.

The_Skunk actually made some good points (he's been here longer i have been, i joined last year) however it doesn't matter, if the majority of members quit or complain about the changes you done something wrong. like i said above, if more people are leaving than the people joining you have a BIG problem that needs to be fixed. |

Thats the thing, next to nobody is leaving, and more and more people join every day.
Did anyone notice we're up to around 350,000,000 registered accounts now?
Granted, theres a lot of bots thrown in there, but just 2 years ago we hit 100 million. Back in 2008 we had just surpassed one million.
Roblox could lose every single player that joined before 2010 and still wouldnt've have lost much. Their big money playerbase is comprised of mobile users who shell out money for small amounts of Robux in microtransactions.
Older users can complain all they want, very few of them will actually leave, and the small population of users who do actually leave over unimportant changes dont matter to begin with, very few of them spend money on Roblox and theres a good chance those who complain dont contribute to the community much otherwise. |

ROBLOX still hasn't fixed the ping issue (or framerate issue). Even players with a good PC still lag. ROBLOX still hasn't fixed the damn sound issue either. Some players (including me) still can't hear certain sounds. |
