We don't care about bots, we just want to see the servers. |

should we track the roblox scams site to the creator of the bots?
And, we need to shut down the scam site.

This is the ONLY reason the normal server lists were removed? Quite sad in fact.
I can live with declining many bot spam friend requests and ignoring messages (if I ever turn them on for everyone)
It's not MY fault little kids dunno anything about the internet and click their malicious links/fall for the trap of these bots. This is why I believe little kids shouldn't even be allowed to have a computer... because they continue to do things they shouldn't, then whine when it comes back to bite them. And then sadly, the game creators probably get a lot of complaints about these bots. So then they take it into their own hands to come up with an idea no one likes to fix it.
Shoot, even people who don't fall for the trap still probably send complaint emails about the bots bugging them.
I just don't see why we should have to suffer because of the incompetence of others. They could easily just ignore the spam bots trying to trick us just like everyone else. |

I would like to point out as many people have that the server list was a helpful feature to a lot of us. It also may be true that the bots used this to spam followers and friend request and ultimately get a few people to get there computers/Roblox accounts hacked. In saying that the bots are fully automated and will spam anyone therefore making it not matter if the players are active or not. the people behind the making of this spam bot code could just reprogram it to search in a random letter and friend request/follow every player except spam bot that is on the pages. I will also point out that there is a lot of people that have bad Wi-Fi and rely on the server list to play games like phantom forces and jailbreak. |

Well, good job on ROBLOX's part on trying to remove spam bots but I can't join any important meetings on ROBLOX like for ROBLOX Server Guard. I would always be put in an empty server, and I know I can friend them but nobody wants to accept FRs unless they're trustworthy/kind.
I've been on ROBLOX for 4 years |

"Spam Efforts" yeah because its his fault that he's getting overwhelming support.
This also does not starve the spam, it will continue. There's no point of getting rid of some of it rather than all. I cannot think of a way for them to get rid of it all at once but ROBLOX is here to entertain US last I checked.

Roblox tried to fix it, but in a huge oversight, they failed to account for the clan world, arguably the ones most affected by this. |

The main problem with joining empty servers is due to the 'preferred player count' option.

I feel like each update that passes by this game gets worse... |
|
|
Why not just add an option to disable recieving friend requests, and have it on by default? |
|
|
"While that would help, it wouldn't solve the problem for good."
neither does this update
quit shilling
the only way to get rid of bots is a total shutdown of communication on this platform and if they're not going to do that then any other effort is basically for nothing |

What you should do is still have server lists, just make it so you can't access the players from there or see their usernames, then the bots still wouldn't have a way to access active players.
Please repeat this, I hope that some Roblox admin sees it. |

Gotta love how under FAQ, roblox censorship even impacted a mod. |

This seriously Isn't going to help with bots at all, the majority of people know not to accept offers from shady bacon hair accounts anyway. So removing an essential proponent of the game, especially for people in the clan and role-play communities is a huge damage and doesn't further the intended goal of this update at all. There is no way to prevent bots, just like hackers, they'll always appear. The best solution is adding at least a way to see the number of people in a server and being able join from there, or adding continuing to warn players to not accept any messages that offer them free materials. This is frankly outrageous and is the first update in a long time to actually make me angry. Instead of removing something so important and being incompetent, maybe try to add? |

So the basis of this update was basically, "We need to stop the bots effectively" but when it ruins the ability to find servers, while doing this will stop the bots, it also makes the ability to find servers in games ineffective, especially with the limited friend numbers making it hard to bypass this as an active player which really does limit the ability of the average player to go from server to server on another game which can be quite annoying. There could have been better ideas such as there being a certain age on the account to be able to see servers or it could tie in to verifying emails of a sort. |
