bots are bots; they can't enable server lists then abuse them. server lists are useful and a way to combat this is to simply change your privacy settings to where nobody but your friends can message you.
of course, this would be a problem for people who have to have their messaging open to anyone, but a messaging app like Discord could easily prevent the issue of messages. if everything else fails, then you can just put to friends and users I follow/followers.
and if you can't click off of an obvious scam message, then you aren't fit to be the leader of come war clan anyways.

But instead of an option to turn it off, make sending and receiving friend requests to off by default. That way, it'll also solve people randomly sending friend requests as well. Instead of removing a feature that was extremely useful and that everyone loved.

Option to disable or at least let CERTAIN followers follow you.
Also please do something about those termed bots that STILL stuck on your followers and you can't remove them, adding false followers there.

The problem isn't that people aren't aware the reasoning behind the update.
The problem is the fix hurts core pieces of the ROBLOX game-play that have been around for probably since close to the start (but past it).
For example, traders- most usually just scan servers for people who they think will give them good trades or whatever else.
Clan world- uses it to rally members in their bases,training,allied-patrols etc.
The other problem with this update is your friends list caps at 200.
If that wasn't the case then possibly this wouldn't be that big of an issue. |

If you are dumb enough to fall for a spam bot you deserve to lose your account.
The people who fall for this scam are people under the age of 13 and most of there accounts already have a setting where only friends can message them.
Just teach them basic internet safety and if they don't know that they shouldn't be on roblox. |

Couldn't Roblox just make it much more well known to never visit suspicious websites, and make every message screen have something that tells you that you cant get ################# ################## or bc from any means? Also making the default setting for messages being people you are following only helping more instead of the server lists? |

To label mac's petition as spam, is completely and entirely disingenuous. One person (who has hopefully now been banned) spammed support on the petition, but that occurred AFTER the petition ALREADY HAD 4100 replies, and most of them were in support.
For reference, the link to his petition was spread around multiple discords, and the LARGE MAJORITY of the clan community is against the update.
His petition is not spam, it is the voice of the community. |

Like seriously, from chat filter to spam filter, even the message u posted was incorrectly filtered.
