There is a simple fix, set so the default privacy settings do not allow everyone to send a message to you, (aka in privacy settings for new users, they have friends only for messages) simple as that, if they fall for a scam, they learn.

well i do agree in some ways i do not like it but i does make it better to keep out child predators so they can not go in random servers but yes i do not like it |

Quite sad, every single update that roblox comes out with kills the Interests of group players or clan participants. The old roblox was much better, I do not like this new roblox. I agree taking tix away benefits you guys and if it benefits you that helps roblox stay alive but the fact that you made it to where we can only see servers with our friends makes it very hard to get in game or attend raids.

As you guys probably know, Roblox has a serious problem with spam bots. They go to ridiculous extents to bypass Roblox's anti-spam measures autonomously. When Roblox got rid of comments on games, the bots began using game servers to find active players to send their spam to.

By disabling this feature, the bots are effectively starved of active players to spam, because they have no easy means of detecting them or communicating to them.

It's a problem that is hard to solve, and Roblox is trying to find reasonable long term solutions that will quench these problems all together.

My idea?
Just make a button in emails and on a creators comments that delete texts that are 97% similar to a selected comment. No spam if you have to say different things.
All since this is sort of the crime can we threaten him in real life... |

bot spam is already the number 1 problem in roblox
the removal of server lists can help prevent bots, i do not think that it is going to help, they might join a game and spam you.
well do we need to poison ban those bots out there? i know that there is going to be a solution for the bots to stop, by the way, you for posting this.

There is no solution to these bots. We just need to educate the masses about these bots, so there would be no point to running them anymore.

I don't think this will make bots go away forever. It will probably make them come back smarter. Someone might even develop a way for bot accounts to join games and leave once they have a list of players, or infect one active player with a virus that allows them to get more victims from the servers they join in the future. I can't really see why that wouldn't be possible down the road.
I don't really think things such as botting, clothes copying, and ODing can be truly eliminated in this way and successfully doing so will only make them come back stronger in the long run. So a better tactic imo is to encourage less detrimental forms of it or shadow tactics so they have a harder or impossible road to evolution. ROBLOX is approaching this too head on imo. |

The bots still work even if they remove server lists; there's an API to get game instances and that's what the bots use to send fr requests, follow requests, and messages. Pointless update.

except tix removal made sense, but the server update was just bad. There are people that just accept everyone's friend requests, so it's useless. |

i used the server list to find a server with not many people so my friends could play but now it only shows your friends server and there mostly full :( |

Alright, removing it didn't work to stop spammer bots, bring back what we want (public server browsing) and think of a different solution. |
