I put in both subforums because they essentially CAN talk about any off topic stuff without getting a banhammer. I found it absolutely insane to find out ROBLOX is literally removing 10+ subforums and "merging" them into the subforum that is now referred as "Roblox News & Discussions".
(They're removing and merging at the same time)
Tell me, how do you think this is a good idea? Having an Off Topic board is a time-honored tradition and one of the main appeals of a forum. After the forum "upgrade" we are forced to talk about ROBLOX. The merge AND removal of Off Topic are really bad because:
1: RN&D will be TWICE as fast as LMaD! A moderator said this was to "convenience" moderation... Good luck catching 20 flies at the same time!
2: We will inevitably drift to Off Topic discussion
If you've been to LMaD before, you know you have to bump your thread a SEVERAL times to get people to reply to it. That's how bad it is... It's a literal waterfall.
And any old forumer knows what happened to RT in 2012... People started to talk about off topic related stuff and then guess what happened... ATR was created in 2013... Only to be the newer-and-stricter version of RT.
And we've seen that only around 3-4 mods do their job, hence there are still trillions of spambots spamming crap.
>>TL;DR: Allow Off Topic, and (possibly) merge the subforums to a smaller scale and not one HUGE scale that will worsen everything

Support. OT and every ######## has it`s cultures. Removing those will mass-lose the ######### and mostly quit. The thing where you can only join friends if they are in a game was bad enough, now this? People will move to new sites, such as Blox City, where they DONT mess it up just to make it "safer". We should already be migrating to Blox City, since they would make it EASIER for new users, and making it harder for old users, like me. Roblox ######### (like the official ####### of roblox) would lose users, and newer servers for other sites will gain MANY. Roblox, do you want to destroy your site? |
