For those of you who don't know, a few years back, ROBLOX stopped using the whitelist/blacklist filter system and switched to CommunitySift. CommunitySift is essentially a bot that censors words, and learns from what you say. So, the more you try to bypass it, the stricter the filter gets. Which does sound good on paper, but it doesn't work. Sure, it does its job well sometimes, but it also censors words that aren't swears at all, allowing innocent people to go down on the "trust level" just from trying to say an innocent sentence with say, numbers in it. It is also sometimes bypassed, allowing some rather innapropriate things to be said that wouldn't have been able to be said before. Overall, it doesn't benefit ROBLOX at all. I propose to have a whitelist filter for under 13s, and a blacklist filter for 13+s.
A whitelist filter is virtually unbypassable. A blacklist system does have its risks, but if done right, it's more reliable than Communitysift. The only downside to this I can see is the fact that a whitelist/blacklist filter does require maintenance, but if it has been done before by ROBLOX, it is certainly doable now. |

Ya tbh CommunitySift doesn't work as a game filter. Maybe for professional sites like ######## but here it's just terrible. |
