Andrew County Police Department Information & Officer Guide.

【Join Requirements】
• Be a citizen of the County of Andrew.
• Speak fluently in the English language.
• Pass a background check.
• Understanding of the Andrew County Municipal Laws.
• Knowledge of the ROBLOX Community Guidelines and Rules.

【Process】
1) Send an application to the ACPD Chief become a Cadet in the ACPD. Application: https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=222616447
2) Once an application is accepted, and you become a Cadet, you must go through the P.O.S.T. Academy (Peace Officer Standards and Training), which is about 1-2 hours of your time, for 2 different days.
3) When you've gone through the P.O.S.T. Academy, you will then go to a formal ceremony to officially become an Officer.
• Other ranks within the ACPD are decided by the Chief of Police.

【Definitions】
As an ACPD officer, you will be required to know the following:
• Arrest
An arrest occurs when a citizen is taken into custody by a law enforcement officer's significant restraining of the citizen's freedom to leave. An arrest must be based upon probable cause to believe that a crime has occurred and that the citizen committed it. if the citizen is issued a summons, is considered to be a "non-custodial" arrest. If the citizen is taken to jail, it is considered to be "custodial" arrest.
• Contact
A "contact" is a consensual encounter between a law enforcement officer and a citizen. It is only consensual if there is no show of force, assertion of authority, or interference with the citizen's ability to leave.
• Prob#################ble cause to believe that a certain situation exists requires more facts and more certainty than "reasonable suspicion."
• Reasonable Suspicion
Reasonable suspicion is a "particularized and objective basis for suspecting that a citizen is involved in criminal activity." A law enforcement officer must be able to articulate facts that indicate a reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminal activity.
• Stop
A stop is a limited detention for the purposes of obtaining a person's name and address, identification (if available), and an explanation of the persons actions. A stop must be supported by reasonable suspicion of criminal activity.

Required understanding of all the Codes and Common Language Commands, plus the Phonetic alphabet if you plan to patrol speaking by voice.

• Miranda Warnings
1) You have the right to remain silent.
2) Anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law.
3) You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him/her present with you while you are being questioned.
4) If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before questioning, if you wish.
5) You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements.

【Ride Along's】
• Only Cadet's can go on Ride Along's. Cadet's must be in Cadet Uniform.
• Only Sergeants and above may give Ride Along's.

【Uniform Conduct】
• All ACPD Officers are required to be in uniform while on-duty, and on the ACPD team.
• Copying, stealing, or making your own uniform for personal or public use without the Chief's authorization, is not allowed.

【Suspensions】
• Any officer under suspension, may not be on-duty, or be on the ACPD Team. Doing so will result in removal from the ACPD.
• Suspensions are handed out to the officers who perform their official duties incorrectly and are under review on the terms.
