You sart out at about, 1000 BC. Every page is a year. You must expand and settle at a good spot to survive! And beware, for as you progress, mythical(and made up)creatures will come and go with the ages.
Expansion
Pick a spot where there are plenty of resources.
Be sure to find a secondary area to retreat to if your overrun by monsters, wildlife, or another civilization.
And dont forget to make BABYS!! They are essential in population growth! Becuase, well, they ARE population.
Diplomacy
Make sure you dont kill somebody before you try to negotiate with them.
Be sure to give and recieve gifts once you build up a steady relationship!
Share resources and aid each other when times are tough.
Research
Easy research is 2 pages.
Medium research is 4.
For the hard stuff its 7.
For the real big stuff its 11.
War
Make sure you have a good population(9-15 in the tribal area, more with the ages)before declaring war.
Make sure you have a good amount of supplies! It can really wear you down.
If all you've got are little wooden clubs while they have crude but effective weapons your toast.
Proffessions
Proffessions are essential for your civilization. They can help you warmonger, negotiate, expand, or just gather supplies. Its up to you.
The above areas are actually proffessions. War gives you a boost in warmongering, diplomacy aids your negotiating skills, expansion aids your growth. There are also a ffew mini-proffessions which focuses some of your skills on a single resource.

The 2 return with a large deer. They gut, skin, and then cook it and feast.
A baby is born, raising the population to seven. At age five, the child will be tutored of the ways of the clan.
A small board of bark from a dead tree is found, with another sharp rock next to it. The explorer in question picks them up, and brings them back to the clan, and begins to study writing.
This research will go on for two years, and will give the clan skills such as Mapmaking and Writing. |

The research goes on steadily, and another scout is sent out. He finds a large slab of stone, and a chicken nearby it. He picks up teh stone, then chicken, and heads back to clan.
The same hunters go out once again hunting, and the two females are left with the child and to gather herbs. |

The scout returns to the camp and lays down the stone slab, then suddenly gets an idea.
He lays the slab before the fire, and after they find two more chickens lays the first chicken on the stone. He is given a knife.
The scout kills the chicken, calling out in religous ectasy. He praises the twelve Olympians!
