"What needs to be done is new groups with new leaders and new members should take over the clan world with popular clans"
Yeah good luck with that. |

well, I can tell you didn't read my thread you're acting to know so much about as it stated I wanted to pursue my goals of joining rbxdev, pursue being a chase or go after. Therefore with the use of common sense, it did not state I was applying for rbxdev or wanted to be in it right at the moment rather I wanted to focus on development and computer science in general.

no i care enough about game development and computer sciences to join rbxdev, believe it or not the lua language and roblox platform is not the only discussed topic on the forums

RBXDev in itself will not do anything for me in terms of college; if I put "Roblox DevForum Member" on my application they would look at me and laugh. The Roblox Dev forum opens possible doors for me to pursue that can lead to something I can put on a college application; such as internships, jobs, etc. I do not look at game development as "fun" in the normal sense. Sure I enjoy doing it but it is something I seek to be my career; you cannot make a career out of your hobbies. Sad to admit. I do wish to work close to the developers in big name gaming industries at one point in my career; this career field is known as "Developer Relations" and there are MANY gateways to that at Roblox via RBXDev.
Are the chances of me getting any of these high? No. Are they possible? Yes. If I'm going to be on the computer and learning how to develop games anyways; I might as well focus on it and put my time to good use.

"I disagree though. I DJ at local clubs and produce music and such. It's my hobby and I've been managing to make about the same as a minimum wage worker at McDonalds and I'm only 16. I can do this as a career and it's my hobby."
It is not a matter of can or can't. A hobby is not a job and a job is not a hobby. Ask any professional gamer be it a youtuber or competitive gamer.
They took something they loved to do; and absolutely ruined it for themselves, and they will all happily admit that (in private of course)

you gotta let it go man
we'd all love to get a nostalgia rush and have the kind of wars and clans we had in the past, but it just isn't going to happen again
everything comes to an end sooner or later, just be glad you at least have those memories and got to experience it. all the newer players and people just now visiting this sub forum have literally no clue what they missed out on lol |
