Why TAE Declined

The goal of this thread is simply to officially realize what went wrong with TAE in its final days and to prevent anything of the sort from happening to other groups with high potential. Re-initializing the Empire at the time that I did was extremely poor in my own planning and I had low masses of time to spend and invest into such a time-consuming and stress-causing community. This was my first mistake; not having enough time to spend on the group to begin with. Having the old HI-COM and re-rallying my followers was a major problem as they had major issues adapting to the new environment that I, and my 2iC, had laid out and this failure of adaptation caused the majority of the officer core to abandon hopes very soon and it stunted the growth of a second, more modernized, generation of members to grow. This was my second mistake; allowing old officers to do as they pleased and having low levels of discipline within the ranks. Failure to establish a proper chain of command was a major problem. Corruption had derived out of war-lords that had taken up cliques within the group and I, as a leader, was constantly threatened with the words of 'do this or I will leave with my followers'. This was my third mistake; allowing my officers to become too powerful. I had rushed to replace the vast amounts of officers and loyalists that had abandoned the group within the first few weeks, and I had struggled even more to find suitable fillers. This was my fourth mistake; it wasn't long before the remnant good members could no longer tolerate the latter inbound members. Selling out to people for funds, for offers of 'merging groups into TAE', and giving them high-ranking official spots caused all of the prior to happen on a more global and catastrophic scale than I had ever anticipated or experienced. Most notably LordVilarium, War_Fuel, and Yavarian obtained spots within the HI-COM for providing funds, promises, and potential 'merging' offers. This caused my final remaining loyalists and my experienced officers (MaxTheCrazy/SquattingGopnik, EnzonianTheGreat, and many others) to finally leave the Empire in search of a more less-corrupt and stable group to nest in. This was my final and most fatal mistake; allowing people to bribe me into their way of the HI-COM. This was the final blow to the Empire and my community I had raised as a whole from the time of its birth in 2010 to the fate in 2017. All of these issues were brought about in much more specific ways, however this is the general overlook of what I saw as the fate of TAE. For those of you who don't know what TAE was, it was a hybrid-powerclan that obtained top 10 status in the summer of 2014/15 and continued its reputation throughout the next summers. This has been my acceptance and apology for all of the scandals that I, and my former officers, had covered up during the time of its final reign in early 2017. Thank you to all those who followed me for as long as they did, namely Nike2349 and EnzonianTheGreat (5+ years of service under me). You are the type of members that kept the community and group of people that we helped build going and you were some of my best officers. I don't have any plans or intentions (at this moment) of resurrecting TAE. I invested so much time into that technology and I was the sole developer in the end. There's no point in giving away unfinished tech. It's too complex for your average amateur code-editor to manage anyways and my build style is far overly-detailed. If it is ever to be used again it will be for TAE, which the chances of that are low.

The groups decline began as soon as you appointed Yavarian second-in-command when he didn't deserve it at all and he proved that by his actions. Most former members would agree with me on this.
