Welcome to Orzel. This forum should briefly explain the responsibilities of each position, how to rank up, and other important information.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
Coming into contact with the aircraft while it is moving can lead to major issues and will result in severe punishment. To prevent individuals from jumping and glitching the aircraft while moving or not, the command :jpower (player) (0 to disable, 50 to enable) should be used.
:jpower all 0 should be done right before thawing the person frozen for departure, then set back to 50 so players can use the bathroom during cruise (WHILE PILOT IS FROZEN). Later :jpower all 0 should be used again for landing right before thawing the person frozen, and then finally enabling it back for de-boarding.

AO | Airport Operator
As an AO you will primarily remain at the airports, helping with either tarmac ops (vehicles, setting up cones and chocks) or check-in / boarding. During cruise your services are not necessarily required, but you can use the time to set up barriers to help de-boarding passengers find their way at the arrival airport or use the time as a break. Just remember you will need to come back for the arriving part of the flight.
FA | Flight Attendant
As an FA you will need to primarily handle check-in, serving Orzel+ passengers in the lounge, boarding passengers, serving them during cruise, and then de-boarding. AOs will occasionally assist in check in and boarding. It is important to use the majority of a name, and simply check the inventory of passengers if they claim to be Orzel+, while other systems are developed.
FO/CAP | Pilot
As a pilot, you will start out at the rank of first officer. Here you will mostly operate the first officer controls and occasionally fly, however you can choose to remain at this roll. Those who are able to rank up by reaching a 5 performance rating (explained later) will become official captains.
PS: The captain is mainly in charge for freezing, thawing, and setting :jpower. Do not assume other staff have done it for you, and take responsibility to do it. Failing to freeze, thaw, and set :jpower at the appropriate times resulting in a passenger jumping, colliding with the aircraft, and resulting in a major glitch will be considered your fault, along with the first officer who may be investigated for not acting to remind the captain or take the responsibility if the captain cannot.
FM | Flight Manager
This position is filled with staff who have proven loyalty to Orzel, with a good track record, and never passengers. You must already be an existing staff member for a good time before requesting a promotion to flight manager. Once there, you will have some of the most responsibility out of any other rank, hosting flights and managing staff.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Performance Scales are our system of distinguishing experienced staff members from new ones. Because the trainee rank no longer exists, everyone starts out at -5, and you can progress up to 5. (For pilots this resets upon reaching captain, but as a captain who gains a -5 rating will be demoted back to first officer).
Flight managers and above will change your ratings depending on your performance at flights and other events. Begging will not help and if anything will result in being given a lower rating. You request a rating change, let's say after a flight, you must contact a flight manager or above in corporate, formally requesting a new rating.
