I hate how people think that. Yes, this mainstram pop garbage that we have today is the most popular (for teens), but it doesn't mean metal is dead. I'm a teen, and metal is my favorite music. Other people listen to it, there still exist a lot of metal bands, and metal has a huge fan following. |

Well keep in mind, most mainstream pop listeners are teenagers. Metal is listened to by people of all ages.
Besidesw, go to a metal concert, and their usually sold out. (Well known bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Iron Maiden)
I went to a Metallica concert, and about 10,000 people were singing every song they played. |

about 75 dollars for a bleacher seat. (The ones high up.)
So, for the main floor, i don't know, I'm not wasting time. But I know they are expensive.
Also, ticket prices do not tell how good a band is. |

Metal is alive and thriving well. With the success of games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band, as well as success of groups such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Slipknot, metal will continue to grow and thrive in the future.
And Mendezio, Metallica has sold millions more albums and sold out more shows than Lady Gaga has. They've sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, making them the fourth best selling artist in the SoundScan era, with 'The Black Album' being the best selling album in the SoundScan era with over 22 million copies sold worldwide. No offense to Lady Gaga, but she will never beat that, since the sales for 'The Black Album' and the rest of Metallica's work will continue to rise. |

AC/DC's "Back In Black" has sold more than an album released by any band EVER!
The only album to have sold more than it is "Thriller"
Back In Black has sold about 50 million copies.
AC/DC has sold over 200 million albums
Lady Gaga has probally only sold about 3 million.
She'll never be as succesful as AC/DC, The Beatles, The Rollin Stones, Metallica, or any of the other bands you hate so much.
In a couple years her popularity will have died out. |

METAL WILL NEVER DIE, BUT POP IS WAY TOO POPULAR SO EVENTUALLY POP WIL DIE. Like Justin Bieber, Lady GaGa, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers... ppl like that will eventually become very...verryyyy... un~popular. Metal is different, because you can never get bored of it's awesome guitar, drums, bass, and singers. |

most of the pop goers are teenagers but they have to grow out of being a teenager eventually and maybe by that time pop will have died out with most of the pop artists getting less popular if they dont release an album evrey two seconds. Then maybe they will listen to metal more often. |

Think of it this way.
You know roblox obstacle courses? They aren't really that good most of the time. Often, they are models taken from other users and they fade away in a couple days or a week.
And how about Ro-fortress 2 and Sword fights on the heights? They aren't that popular but isn't there much more EFFORT put into those?
Let Mainstream pop be represented by obbies and the days they last represent years.
Let well scripted games that are OLD, but are alive and ADD UP to be more popular than the mainstream obbies represent rock,metal,jazz, pop that isn't repetitive, and blues.
That's what I think. |

Adding to what King was saying, look at miked's paintball. It was popular for a while and died down some now, but people still play it some. Obbies fade in a few days at most. |
