Avians,
We have gathered here today to commemorate a year of our constant service.
Not only to ourselves,
Not only to our brethren,
Not only to our country,
But for the communal goodness of we.
Avians, in the past year, we have done so much and come so far.
From the ashes of a failed state,
The deaths of the masses in our streets,
And the destruction of our cities,
We have risen. We have marched forth into our success - which can be credited to none other than ourselves.
We began from humble beginnings - a mere militia of fifteen. From there we grew at the pace of our forefathers, the Avians of old, the Avex.
Through our sweat and toil, through the blood and soil, we persevered. Our enlistment rates rose, our activity blossomed, and fifteen became thirty, thirty became fifty, fifty became sixty.
Our technology leaped forward like our soldiers in battle - and all was well.
But then came the storms of corruption - and the Republic collapsed. With its polished military now in rusty shambles and it’s people left to fend for themselves, the Republic descended into a failed state.
After declaring itself in exile, it attempted to make a return - with the assimilation of the leaders of old. But alas, it was not meant to be, and thus the Republic’s dear leader was killed in a revolt.
And from the pit of sorrows rose a new leader - the people - and with it, a new head - the Avius.
After extensive reforms and reworkings, the Republic once again began it’s climb. Once more, sixty became seventy, seventy became eighty, and eighty became one hundred.
The Republic was at its would-be apex. We were a force to be reckoned with - every invasion was turned away in defeat, every offensive movement smashed. Those who opposed us were bled and beat into the earth from whence the came. But it was not enough.
Some dared to disrespect us. Some dared to wrong us. And they paid for it with their lives.
We, The Republic of Aerius, smited the Evalonians with our true power. All of Aerius - and beyond - saw our strength through mobilization.
The Evalonians were single-handedly beat into the the ground by our forces in sixteen crushing defeats. The Republic suffered no losses.
After a period for rebuilding and restructuring, the Republic once again has returned to its feet, and stronger than ever.
We, the Avians of this great Republic, have overcome the disparagement of our environment. We, the Avians of this great Republic, now stand proud here today - a testament to our own success.
And now we shall show the universe our pride.
On this day, that marks our first Aeon, I wish to thank you all for your loyalty to our cause.
Now on we march, into the battle for our honor.
May Aerius Prevail!
