I know, I promised that I wouldn’t make anymore of these threads, but you people seriously need to be educated on this topic. Justin Bieber isn’t 14 anymore, which means he doesn’t sing like he did when he made his biggest single “one time.” Most of the time I read your comments and 75% of them (speculation) says something like he sound like a small girl. I must agree two years ago he did, have you ever came to think that his high pitched girl like voice was what made him stand out and may be a reason that people like him. Anyways I’m getting off-topic, his new album My World 2.0 was released not so long ago, and I won a free downloadable copy of it from my radio station. The tracks on that album are actually very good, they aren’t all high pitched and squeaky. I want you to listen to the songs below and give me feed back on what you think about them.

You have no proof that your theory is true. Popularity is not accurate measurement of talent. You have proven that Lady gaga is popular, but you still have not proved how she is talented.
And another thing, you think this only applys to the 2000's. You can't make up your own rules, give us the bear bone facts, not what you think is true.
It is “bare bone” facts that people tend to like/idolize figures of significant value or that can perform a task with exceptional skill. Mass media communication techniques educate the pubic of these certain significant figures but in the end it’s the public’s choice, whether to like it or not.
With the above correct I can speculate that music also falls under the Mass media communications. In which the pubic would become aware of this particular artist/group and would then have to decide whether they like them or not. Note, I didn’t say they had to decide whether they liked this artist/groups music, people don’t just care about the quality of music; they also care about the artist singing it (speculation).
So with the above fact(s) I can come to the conclusion in which: people pick-out the “talented” artists/groups and from the “untalented.” Sure there will always be a small number of personal disagreements, but when the people who are in favor of this said group/artist outnumber the percentage of people how dislike them, there must be something “significant.”

That may be how Justin experienced love, thus which would be what he would sing about, I like Justin's music that is almost the only reason I like him. His fan following doesn't mean anything to me, I only hope for his fan base to increase, because he's not popular, and that makes it hard to defend him on the forums. |
