Activity was everywhere. Merchants carrying livestock and attempting to sell, females wrapped tightly in robes walking in little groups, and guards slacking off and gambling with eachother. I led the gigantic human boy to the infirmary, his tall body towering over everyone in the market area. They all stared up at him in fear, until I lied to them that he was a captive.
The infirmary was less noisy, but still far from silent. The widowed crying, the wounded screaming, the Adapted attempting to bash their way out. It was crysis's only safe haven. Shoddy, but it would have to do for now. |
