I stood up in my icy shelter. My heart beating fast and my breathing faster. I grabbed my bowie knife and helde the blade backwards, i ran out speeding looking for prey. |

Arnold saw the frosted plains ahead, not much to look at out here. Arnold said, "Might as well call this place the barren land. Nothing to look at, and really the only animals are ferals," Arnold wasn't that impressed by whatever they used to mess most things up, he never bothered to look into it but had a slight idea of what it was all about. |

I thought I had glimpsed a icesheet settlement. Problably hadn't. I might be able to build something better and extend my igloo. I began to add on to my icy home. |

I ran tripping every few steps and using my left hand to balance me. |

"Hello, my name is Jacob." I say to this young fellow. "A-A-Ar-are you here to hurt me?" he said. "No, no, no, I was looking for people to set up a settlement with, reform civilization, care to join me?" I assured him. "O-O-okay, my name is Rob." he says as he follows me to my home. |

I had almost finished the shelter, I just needed some sort of door, I looked around for a large sheet of metal. |
|
|
I bagan running now, as fast as I could, partialy to see how fast I could go, but mostly because I loved the feeling of it and this snowy plain was perfect for it. I couldnt help, in spite of not remembering anything, feeling really happy. |

As I built and removed I talked to myself about trees, liquid water, and other people. Those would be interesting to find. |

Arnold spotted a poorly made fence off in the distance. Apparently it is part of a small settlement.
"Ahh... New place to live. Any place is better then the dump I came from!" He started to walk a little faster, even if his right leg hurt a bit more. |

I looked around and saw a feral wolf. Seemingly away from its pack. I ran and pounced on it blood pumping, and i furiously stabbed it until it stopped moving. |

I finished a wall. I had added to my igloo a second room, and worked on another. |
|

I thought i saw someone, I looked out, ... no one..., I shrugged and continued looking for a large sheet of metal. |

Me and Rob had found a group of others, 6 to be exact, 4 mutated and 2 not. We began building small huts. The sight of smoke from our fires attracted others, and soon we became slighty recognized. We named it "Free Haven". I was elected leader. We now have a population of 20. But I have seen feral approaching. I am beginning to grow worried. |

I began to drag the wolf across the ice creating a large red streak across the barren wastland. |

Arnold eventually reached the settlement. It really was pretty poor. The walls were thin and made of tin, some kind of wire, and a little fur was attached to one section of the fence. Very ruddy and old.
Arnold reached the entrance, but no one was there. Arnold was about to yell, but kept his mouth shut. These are much more different times.

I worked hurridly, even rushing. I had no plans to find others, but I built. Inside the igloo I had unpacked my remaining gear - a sleeping bag, a pot that could melt snow or ice, a pack of dried foods, and a pencil. |

I saw some sort of fence and slowed down, finnaly some kind of civilization. |

I thought I saw something, but I continued building. My igloo was large now, and the second room had been completed. I entered, and ate a bit of dried meat. |

I finally found a large sheet of metal, I placed it on the entrance, and tied it to my shelter using tough chord. |

I stopped dragging my prize and sat there for a moment, gathering my energy. A large red blotch gathered on the ice giving away a very clear position.

I walked towards it and saw that it was riddled with bullet holes, and even a little frozen blood, "I'd better turn around," I thpugh and started out back into the tundra. |

Arnold walked in, he saw something in the center of town, sparks flew in the air, just barely.
Arnold didn't gasp, but walked over to the heat. Arnold said, "This must be fire... Humans could stare at this for ever..." He put his numb hands near the flames, to warm them. Eventually an unwelcoming man came.
"HEY! Don't you b-be touchin' my f-fire now!" The man was a stutterer, and had a beard, shades, a leather jacket, ripped pants, and mediocre shoes.

I walk into the house. I search throught the building. I found a tattered matress with a wool blanket. "Looks good" I say laying down clutching my revolver (IT HAS 2 BULLETS!) |

I sighed and exited my igloo. I then saw a red blotch. Someone had died? It was a sick thought, but I would collect what they had, and if needed, take their fur if they had any. I walked toward the area. |
