Name: Kenneth Sayer.
Weapon: Rayser photon rifle, Shock Pistol.
Bio: Ancestors were human, but used nanorobots to modify their DNA. For reasons known only to them, they took the form of a dragon like figure, wings included. All Dralans (as they are known) were can trace their orgins back to the two colonising humans. The planet was named Terra, from an ancient human language called Latin, because it meant Earth, but they had decided 'New Earth' sounded naff. Besides, there was already a New Earth, which had exploded 5 years before they left. Occasionally, the Dralens go on a pilgrimage to Earth. This is not just out of nostalgia, they have to have something to do to fill their infinately long lives. Curiously, Dralans speak a modified but recognisable form of English.

Kenneth was sitting in the captain's chair. It was comfortable, like all the others, but bigger, with a headrest. You could fall asleep in it. Occasionally he did. Looking at the widescreen plasma display at the front of the control centre, he could see multiple images from cameras about the huge ship. Indeed, they had met with much more advanced ships, but turned down their offers of sensors and comm circuits. Radio, cameras and radar sufficed for him. Besides, no one made anti-radar ships any more, too busy cloaking them from facy sensors, whilst they flared brightly green on the radar officer's circular holographic imager. The engines though were a different matter. the AMCs were standard on most Terran Defence Force ships, barring the smaller ones which tended to use nuclear fission engines. What was most impressive was the Swift nacelles. The Cutty Shark, the colony ship, the anscestor of modern Terra's huge battleships had used them. The technology was classified to all but the fleet commanders, the Foundation and chief engineers. It created a wormhole in about 30 seconds before pulling the ship in to the intended destination. Kenneth drank his cream soda, before throwing the can into a tube that led to the engines. All non-recyclable refuse was used as anti-fuel in the reactor or engines. |

(By the way, if your coming for Terra, its several Segments from Earth. So its going to take a while. Unless you have Swift Drive too, after all, its Earth technology.)
"BATTLE STATIONS!" Kenneth yelled. "ASSAILANT TO THE PORT SIDE!" he shouted, before being flung back into his seat by a steam pipeline rupture. He knew they should have hired the other plumber. "Launch fighters One through Ten, and charge the Pulse Cannon. Full ahead turbines, fire starboard thrusters. We don't want him getting too close to the bridge." The radio called back to him, saying "Fighters launched, sir!" To which Kenneth replied "Good work!". There was a bright light on one of the camera screens, as the now charged HPC fired. On very few occasions did it miss. Unfortunately, it only clipped one of the fins. Thats unfortunately for the pilot, as his ship was torn apart around him and his insides were pulled out by the vacuum stealing his gas. Bad way to die. Though one of the few ways it would be possible to kill a Dralen. "Ok people, simulation over!" Kenneth said. The destroyed ship had been an unmanned drone, for practice only. They reset the alarm systems. |

Kenneth sat down again. "Radar, scan for ships in the viscinity. Helm, Crazy Ivan." he said. "Crazy Ivan aye, captain." The helmsman turned the ship to strboard, this was a tactic once used by Russian submarine captains to check there was nothing behind them, as their proppelor destroyed SONAR signals. "Nothing behind us sir." "Ok helmsman, origional course." |

( Transwarp takes as few as 10 Seconds to generate a stable path, Hyper Warp Drive is much more powerful than standard warp, and Astral Rifts are created in as few as 3 Seconds.)

You recognise it?" "Oh yeah, it the American shorthand for United States Ship. See its written in English? Thats an Earth ship. Hail him, wide band, all radio frequencies. Just in case, warm up the HPC, though hold fire." Kenneth was almost surprised when the radarman replied "Shouldn't you be asking the conn and weapons dept?" "oh yeah." "TDS.Invincible to USS.Wisconsin, please respond, over..." |

(So... The TRS.Richess can move very quickly from place to place, but can't move once there? I mean, in Star Trek you get Warp, Impulse and Thrusters. The Richess only has Warp.)
