A PSP cries when you download a web page's content and you think it can handle downloading loads of data off roblox constantly? |

I'm too used to "B" being the Jump Button.
Supported.

I have two things to say:
First of all, I have quit Roblox a long time ago. If you want this to pull through, you're probably going to have to take care of this yourself. End of story.
Second, a lot of people have been criticizing the system's ability to handle the game (mainly on the graphics and connectability), so here's a few things:
1. My idea does NOT require the user to be online, rather the user can build offline and save their creations to either the game itself or an SD card (if compatible). Also, the user can connect with a group of others to play on maps that have been saved to the system (which can either be the user's own creations or ones that have been downloaded online from those who allow others to download their places).
2. Games can be edited to cooperate with different tech specs. How do you think PC games get console ports and vice versa?
3. The reason I chose the DS for this idea was because Roblox usually runs in a third-person perspective with the mouse having free reign over the screen. The touch screen can simulate the mouse pointer. Putting Roblox on a console that doesn't have something like a mouse or a touch screen would be difficult to control. I know the new PSP has a touch screen, so it could work too I guess (perhaps a bit better considering the 3G connectivity). Either way, it could work on the two, so you could support one or both. Don't turn this forum into a console war over this, though.
Seriously, those arguments are pathetic.
4. Sure, the graphics aren't the best, but graphics don't make a game. Putting that aside, the 3ds supposedly has a GPU that rivals the original Xbox, so maybe the game should be redirected that way.
Now the one thing that I'm not sure about is memory. I'm not sure if the game can be compressed enough for the DSi, and I'm not sure how much memory the 3rd has. Leave that to the developers if they take this up.
Now, I take my leave again...

I have a 3DS. It has 10 Megabytes of internal memory, and comes with a 2GB SD card. And yes, the graphic capabilities even rival the original XBOX, the PS2, and the Gamecube. It's an excellent system with one flaw: a very short battery life. However, it could easily work. But writing code with a touch keypad would take a while... :P |

It should work. It can work. It will work!
Get this on the DSi Shop ASAP, Stat and other sayings I can't think of at the moment!! |

The PSP has more power to provide than BOTH a Ds and a Dsi.
My dad might get me a PSP 3000 on my 10th birthday if I get good grades...
A PSP Has more port games, and you can run files from an SD card. I wanna play SRB2 (Sonic robo Blast 2) on the go, so I'll get a PSP...
Yeah, I'm making a compromise, my brother said Sony is the best, and actually, he seems right... |

So yes, the PSP would be a lot better. |

What about ROBLOX for every Hand-Held except for Gameboy, and Gameboy Advance. Basically, ROBLOX for PSP 1000, PSP 2000, PSP 3000, DSL, DSi, and 3DS. |

@Above
Must EVERYTHING in life be about money? 1000 years from now, will people care how much money you spent on an online game? I didn't think so. |

The controls would work (almost) perfectly with my ideas of making SELECT ROBLOX games into game cartridges in this thread.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ever wanted to play just ONE ROBLOX game on your DS/DSi/3DS
System? Well this thread is just what you've been searching for.
The Gameboy line (Minus the Ds family) is archaic. That doesn't have enough power. |
|
|
56, It's only PSP and NGP. |
|
|
Netfront is bad, Opera is even WORSE. No wonder Opera is used less than mobile web browsers. GO WITH THE PSP. |
Tony, there's more...
Game.com (I dunno bout this crap...) NEP OITR
Sega Neo Geo Pocket (8-bit ROBLOXIUH.) NEP
Sega Game Gear (A portable version of the Master System) NEP OITR
Sega Retrogen (A portable version of the Megadrive/Genesis) NEP OITR
Sony NGP (Don't ask. It's the PSP's successor. 'Nuff said.) M
The Game Boy Line (Must I say more?) NEP OITR
Sega Pico (The computer that thinks it's a toy. WHAT KIND OF MOTTO IS THAT?!) NEP OITR
NEP Means not enough power, if you were wondering.
M means maybe.
OITR means only if it's reprogrammed.
Well that's all I know... |
People managed to port quake's engine to lots of new consoles so why cant they port the roblox engine. |
|
Roblox 3DS
The 3DS has mor ethan enough computing power. And it has the graphics card. AND it can connect to the internet. I think that would be your best chance. |
|
What about HOTKEYS?
Won't work, broski. |
|
True. But that touchscreen could function as a digital keyboard... |
nope. A DS can barely handle a web page. |
