it has multiple functions
1: when held, acts as an active GUI compass which points where north is relative to the camera's orientation. (Pigeons have built in compasses in their brain)
2: Click on something and the pigeon will go up into the air then hover about 10 studs over it, making awesome spygear. it can also return to its owner
3: If someone hits it with a damaging projectile, it can be captured and used by them.
