Everything was dark I couldn't see I couldn't move either I was on the ground. "Gr.....AH!" I yelled as I tossed off the rubble. Thats better I could see now. It looked like I was in the bathroom of some store with the roof torn off. I hurrily opened the door and looked around. "Hmph...Walmart.." I said to myself quietly as I walked around looking for an exit, after all I could not climb my way out of that bathroom. |

Veritas paused, as he sensed John in the store (if you're in the same Walmart as us). He turned, and began to slowly stride around the corner, towards the bathroom. He realized with a start why she had been talking to him without knowing of his condition: He still had his mask on. He shook off how stupid he felt. |

"Nnnngh" I groaned as the blood dripped down my arm. I looked around slowly for something to help me. Ah HA! There... I picked up a small sheet of paper missing a 1/4 and held it to my arm. Now, I needed to find help. However, I did not want to be heard by the wrong people. "Hello??? Someone..? Anyone here???" I spoke in a quiet tone. |

Veritas watched John as he continued walking. He turned the last corner extremely quietly, possibly soundlessly, and watched John. John's back was turned to him. |

I quickly noticed him. At the same time I kept my guard up. I clenched my fists tight. "Are you.. one of them..." I asked him worried he might be someone from HERO checking for survivors. |
