Veritas' shoulders sagged, as though sighing, and he nodded. He thought for a moment, then grabbed the chin of his mask. He sent a questioning feeling to John's mind using his powers. |

Veritas sensed the two on the move again. He kept his attention on John. He responded to the question by slightly moving his mask up, as though going to show him, but then quickly put it back down, becoming nervous of the reaction. |

"Well I'm from the Richer Neighbourhoods but the Company...I don't like to talk about it if you understand.I'm 13 so.I have full control of my powers since I've had them for awhile and I've done somethings like trashing labs to upset the Company." I say leaving out some of the bits i don't care to disclose. |

Veritas, extremely nervous, raised his mask up his face. He stopped right above his upper lip. Or rather, where his upper lip should be. Where there should be a mouth, or even simply a hole where there were once lips, there was absolutely nothing, save for a slight indentation and the craters of gaunt cheeks. |

"Whoa..." I said to him. Only thinking that it was the company's fault. Immediately, I heard footsteps, I turned around and got into a fighting position. "Who are you and what do you want?" I asked him. |

Veritas quickly lowered his mask again, realizing that the two were there. He turned, and hopped up, easily landing in the next isle over. |

Veritas felt a bit foolish, having not noticed the two earlier. Right before hopping again, he decided against it. He pressed against the side of the isle, and both watched and listened to the conversation. |
