The title says it all, and I truely think it could make robloxia better if things such as local bricks could be effected by local BodyVelocity, or be running a local lava script. |

they can.................... |

kension19Join Date: 2008-01-17 Post Count: 6964 |
Really? Because last time I checked, they don't really react at all. Things like bodyPosition work for a second.
Oh yeah~ and scripts that were instanced by a local script can't run, welds between bricks don't weld, joints don't hold up, connectors don't connect~ are you sure you know what your talking about Conmiro? |

-_- does anybody else other than Conmiro have any sort of response when reading this thread, other than "Duh"?! Am I just typing to myself? >_> |

Yes everything works.. Are you instancing the parts into the CurrentCamera? |
|
kension19Join Date: 2008-01-17 Post Count: 6964 |
Yeah~But again, nothing locally created works in online mode. |

What is the difference between local and non-local Instanced objects?
Can't you use non-local Instanced objects? |
|
|
Yeah. I think you can only set the brick's properties when it's local or whatever. :P

Beep, I never localize anything, and it still runs like it should. |

Why would I want to do that, if I want local bricks?
Oh yes~ and for those who don't know what "local anything" is, heres the definition:
An object which is only visible/existant on a players' client of the game, and to nobody elses. A local object doesn't interact, or exist to any other player exept for the Player that it belongs to. |

Is that so, kension?
I never knew that.
I never use local bricks.
If that's true, then I support this idea. |

=p well then tell me, how come if I make a zombie local, it all falls apart in Online mode, and the scripts don't even run? >_> |

No~ my local Bricks are local. Their in the camera, they were created by a local script in the backpack of a player, and it works.
Whats your method? |

Clone a working model to the currentcamera. |
|
|
@kension19
I've gotten welds to work in local objects. |
|
|
you can use local scripts with local objects... idk if they run in camera tho.
To use welds, i think you got to instance the weld and put it somewhere (either the camera, or jointsservice) |
