PC games can't handle water physics.

"PC games can't handle water physics." Half life 2 can.

Blob, this isn't half-life 2. Half life is a game that has a file size that im pretty sure extends into the gigabytes. Roblox is a 25 or so megabyte program, it can't handle water physics.

Half Life 2 does not use water physics, it uses particles. ~{Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one.}~ --Support my campaign against spam! Check my profile!

Half life 2 doesn't have water physics, it's just a rendered animation that looks like the top of water, but it isn't realistic water. It's just a block of land you are able to float and drown in.

Yes, I know but Mitch clearly said "PC games can't handle water physics." He generically said this statement.

Water physics is completely different from particals.

And he was telling the truth. No game can handle water physics. At the most, it's particle physics. ~{Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one.}~ --Support my campaign against spam! Check my profile!

"Half life 2 doesn't have water physics, it's just a rendered animation that looks like the top of water, but it isn't realistic water. It's just a block of land you are able to float and drown in." I think this is what the thread creator meant.

Actually, Empire: Total War and Napoleon: Total War have some AMAZING water physics.

Actually, PC games can handle it. Mars Explorer...And what uberdude said.

I doubt those are real water physics, i think they're just rendered model animations to look like water physics. Plus I think those games are over a gigabyte

The Unreal Engine has water physics in real time, so... Pwnd?

#29123123Monday, July 12, 2010 8:30 PM GMT

No it doesn't. It uses particle physics. I use the Unreal Engine. ~{Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one.}~ --Support my campaign against spam! Check my profile!
