Leon: I dropped a a large cardboard box into the main room. I smelled the air, but my face turned to being disgusted. "Home sweet home... I guess..." I say. I left my front door opened, and walked back outside to the small moving truck that had parked in front of the Apartment Complex. I walked to the back, and grabbed the last small cardboard box. "Thanks, guys." I said to the two men that had helped me take the heavy things into my room. They walked back to their truck, and started up the engine and drove away. I sat there a few seconds after I could no longer see their truck, and quickly grabbed my box and headed back to my room. I dropped the cardboard box into my room.
"Welcome, Mr. Williams," A voice behind me said.
I turned around quickly, surprised. "Oh, hello." I said.
"Here are your keys, Sir." The manager of the Apartment said. He reached inside his pocket, and took out a key complete with it's own ring.
"Err, thanks." I said, not really knowing what else to say. I reached out my hand, and took the key. The manager left the room without any other word. I shut the door, and headed towards the window. I opened the window, looking outside. The noise of traffic filled the air. I looked down, and could see a blur of yellow and numerous other colors. I turned back around, and started to unpack my boxes. |
