Your character can be from any part of the world, from icy mountaintops to the bottom of the sea, and can be from any time period you want. Meaning you can have a caveman from the stone age or a space explorer.
However, there are a few rules:
1. Only one power, can't be too strong.
2. Do not dramatically change the story in one post.*
3. Keep it appropriate.
4. Use common sense and be mature.
*Meaning, if the story is taking place in a forest, don't suddenly change the scene to a completely different place unless you're telling your story from a different place.
Example of what not to do:
Bob: *Walks past the fence in the graveyard and looks around.* Come on guys!
Frank: *Follows Bob through the graveyard*
Sam: *Jumps off the volcano as lava flies everywhere and attacks Frank*
Example of what you should do:
Frank: Guys, I think we should check by the big volcano, there might be answers there!

*I walk through the thick snow as I hike up a steep mountainside not far from my home. My boots are luckily keeping my feet nice and warm and I'm grateful for the thick coat that I have on right now. My phaser is nestled in a holster on my utility belt so I'll be able to whip it out and use it if I need to. I continue up the mountainside and sit down on a bench that I'd placed on top of the mountain several years ago. The view from up here is amazing. I suddenly hear footsteps behind me and turn around.* |

When I awoke, my wings were on my back, but I was still in human form. "You're kidding, right?" Even for all of the centuries that have passed, I could never get those wings to stay in! It was feeding time, so I flew out of my volcano and headed towards the mountain I normally go to feed on. |

*I look up into the sky and see a strange, bird-like figure in the sky. It's gigantic, unlike anything I've seen before. I rest my hand on the grip for my phaser and crouch down, holding my breath. I hope it doesn't see me. Very slowly, my index finger rubs against a knob on the side of the weapon, and the tube inside of the phaser flips around, setting it to "Kill".* This is going to be fun... |

I decided to take out my communicator and call the Enterprise.* Mackenzy to Enterprise, I think I'm going to need a bit of back up. "Aye, ma'am. We're sending Ensign Chekov." Alright, thanks. *I put the communicator away, and in moments light crops up next to me as Chekov beams down, phaser in his belt. I point to the sky.* |
