The games page, these days, is SWIMMING in obstacle courses, survive disasters, Feed [ insert whoever here ] places, etc. that only people with nothing better to do like.
I've got several ideas for reorganizing this.
1) Make a few more genres (e.g. Obby genre, Building genre, Miscellaneous genre, etc. and so for possibly ad nauseam) so that those of us who aren't doing something that's not quite any of the genres don't have to put our place under All because there's no better genre. Also, you could make a genre or two for, say, parodies of other games, Role-Playing Games, and so forth, so that you're able to surf the games page more precisely. Let's say you feel like killing an ogre that day... You go to the Games page, hit Role Playing Game genre, and wham! You have dozens of games full of ogres and trolls and so on that you can enjoy! This would be, quote unquote, killing two birds with one stone, in my opinion! This is my personal favorite!
2) Refine the games search. For instance, let's say you want to play a game by... stickmasterluke. No offense to the other fabulous builders out there, he's just the first one that popped into my head! You could refine the games search so you can search by Author, Title, Genre, Amount of Free Models (I know this is hard to calculate, but I'm just throwing this out here!) and so forth. This way we can get to the game we want when we want it.
3) Make a list of games that are based off of similar and repetitive ideas (e.g. Cart Rides, Obbies, Feed [ insert whoever here ] places, Survive the Disasters, Gear Testing, Bomb Testing, and so on) and make a completely different one for the games that are COMPLETELY the creator's original idea, such as The Creed by TheRal, King of the Hill by Builderman, Sword Fight on the Heights IV by Telamon, Survival 101/202/303 by Davidii (sorry if I spelled that wrong. I always confuse Daviidi and Davidii) and so on. I'm aware that this would be very hard, possibly, but since I am NOT by any means a webmaster or know the slightest bit of C++, Flash, Lua, or any scripting language, I think I may as well throw this onto the pile of ideas!
If you think you like a particular idea, or you have an idea of your own to post, please do put it here! However, I'd rather you not simply complain about the state of the Games page. We are a part of the ROBLOXian community! Instead of sitting in our chairs and whining about how horrible ROBLOX is, let's create lots of threads with all our ideas for the admins so we and them combined can DO something about it! If you don't have anything to contribute to this post or you just want to say "i like it" or "ok" or something like that, that has no real meaning or substance or assistance to this thread, DON'T POST IT, GOT IT? Good.

Bumping is when you push the thread higher on the forum list. The more people who post on a thread, it goes higher up on the list. If enough people are posting continually on the same thread, it will stay at the top of the forum! |

also i want the search to be better because there is sometimes i want to play a "destroy the bridge" game.
then i search:"destroy the bridge" and then...POOF...NOTHING.
instead i have to search:"destroy bridge" to find anything. |

The good ideas never get recognized, but I'm not gonna make another thread for this just because this one isn't getting viewed. It's not going to be more effective, so I may as well bump when this thing hits the bottom of the page.

I love this idea. We could categorize our obbys, tycoons, tutorials, survive, etc. This would make it a lot easier to navigate and find your favorite games! |

Over ten MILLION players on roblox. Maybe twenty five percent are forumers, but that's still 2.5 million. And of those, only ELEVEN or maybe TWELVE have an attention span higher than a fruit fly. It SICKENS me. I'm trying to make a difference in the community, and to do that I have to constantly say:

1b, 2b, or 3b (this can help all them, I think)) Make a voting system on the games. That way, you can know what the game is voted. You can only vote on one game once, and you can vote it up or vote it down, but first you have to play it. That is unless it has a few key phrases such as "obby" "cart ride" "feed" "ride" "survive disasters" and so forth! Then it's automatically voted down several times before anybody else can vote on it, or a "Warning: Mass-Produced Idea" sign will be put near it. Some may not like this, but it's gonna help all of us in the long run. Plus, users can see what other users like! This can help all of us.
