ROBLOX, I can't believe you use Internet Explorer and nothing else. Internet Explorer is the WORST of all of the browsers. ROBLOX should be compatible with better browsers that are getting more popular, like Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. I refuse to use Internet Explorer, and I hate switching back and forth from browsers just to go to my own game.

It's something to do with the ActiveX or DirectX or whatever.

@ Friek: So all I have to do is download ActiveX and I can use it on good browsers, like Opera and Google Chrome?

Something about ROBLOX makes it only accessable for IE users. They'd have to change a bunch of stuff and redo their servers and junk.

If all the other GOOD browsers "break the rules", why do they work?

I'm saying they need compatibility. Not a different system. Google Chrome does everything IE does and more. Heck, you can use IE IN Google Chrome.

"It's something to do with the ActiveX or DirectX or whatever." -- It's ActiveX. And ActiveX isn't the only problem. The other problem is MSHTML.

I just use the "Play ROBLOX" application, keep it on the game I am in, and forum using firefox. Hey, it's an easy way for me to get back into the server, if I disconnect, and still keep tabs on the forum I am viewing.

Possibly it's the frame structure of the browser that's compatible with Roblox. Not all things are compatible. Such as flash downloads are not compatable with some web browsers. IE has it's faults and good points. Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox all have their good points and faults. It could be that IE is more popular. I believe it's the frame structure and programming of the browser and nothing else. Don't ask why but I believe that.

I believe that both Chrome and Fire Fox have a plugin that renders the page in IE. For Fire Fox, it's called IE Tab. Get that and stop complaining.

Okay. For those of you complaining about compatibility, how about YOU try to code a fully-operational website in asp.NET and allow it to access an external program without firewall or anti-virus bugging the user in only IE. Now try taking that site and make it to work EXACTLY the same on another browser. It isn't easy. Some HTML codes don't even work on all browsers. The marquee, for example, only works on IE.

"Some HTML codes don't even work on all browsers. The marquee, for example, only works on IE." Yeah. And for ROBLOX, it's MSHTML.
