This is becoming an issue I think... my brother has had problems with it, and I've begun to see other problems with it. All it takes is one person and they can ruin a good discussion.
I don't mind if a moderator or admin is saying "this is off-topic" or "this is inappropriate" or whatever, and THEY close the forum, but what about a spammer? People who are just doing it for the fun of it?
Why even have the feature anyway? The only other person who should be able to use it are the author's of the thread they've created!
IN CONCLUSION, I say TAKE OFF THE "Do not allow replies to this post" FEATURE!!

Oh lol... never mind then, I didn't know you could do that.
The reason is this:
Sometimes I'd be writing a longer post (sometimes just short) in a thread where someone else was also posting, so it would come up with an error. Basically it was like this:
Bob: ... {REPLY} -- I clicked here
{I'm posting}
GEORGE: ... (new post)
{I click POST}
ERROR!
So, naturally, I assumed that because I clicked "Post" on an older thing and it came up with an error that you aren't allowed to continue threads after that's been done.

yeah, that happens to me all the time, I always copy my posts(ctrl+c) then if I get an error I can just try again and hit paste(ctrl+v) |
