I hate it so much how people can just fill a baseplate with a ton of free models and get to the front page to earn hundreds of thousands of tix. I think that for every free model added to your place a certain percent of your earnings from visits will be transferred to the creators of the models. For example, bob has a place with 30 free models, so he would get 30% of his profit taken away from him, and that 30% would be evenly distributed to the makers of the models. This would of course have a limit of say, 50 or 60% taken away at max if you had 50 or 60 models added.

Excellent idea, but maybe that would be ingrained in the FMs themselves. For instance, when someone looks up a model and clicks on it, it tells him whether or not the FM has a royalty on it or not. Good idea to discourage FM users. |

Maybe there could be a setting on the models configuration if you want to charge the royalties or not, that way people could make kits and such...? |
