Ok, this type of glow is different than lighting up a room, I mean a brick can be wrapped around by a gradiant bubble.
In left 4 dead, if you lose your teammates and can't find them, they become highlighted so that you can find them again, and this glow also is on items too.

This can be adjusted, such as messing with the gradiance, the Opacity of the glow, and the colors, and so forth. If you want another visual of what I mean, then here, enjoy another picture :D

This can be used for glare, blurs, and other things which can help builders make things look like its lighted by a lamp.

Its not lighting, its an effect that bricks can have. Not sure how it can be done, but we will find out. |
