In a way it is. Because they have to link it through lua to c++. Lua doesn't only consist of the framework. Plus they dont use Lua, they use RBLX.lua and they would be editing that. They don't call it lua because most of the lua methods are blocked/replaced with roblox versions.

Off Topic? We're complaining how roblox doesn't do much with Lua in the updates and people are arguing how you can and can't change lua, this isn't off topic.

"ROBLOX has different teams for different areas of ROBLOX. They have a team for catalog content and a team for ingame updates. Don't expect the catalog content team to do ingame updates." They may have differnet teams, but the catolog team seems to be a hell of alot bigger than the programing and managment teams. The last good update I can remember was back in mid '08. After that it just went down-hill. Spitting out hats at light speed and hireing new hat makers instead of coders. Heck they even fired most of the mods. Further lowering the over-all quality of this second-rate game.

Okay so they have '5' people workign hte catolog. But the server costs to hosts that many hats (Which a mesh liek that would take up more space than most people think) is basicly sucking the fudning out of all departments. I bet ROBLOX couldn't make a decent update to save the world. Let alone the community. The last decent update was in '08. After that it was updates for new avatar items and updates that make ROBLOX into a second rate copy of FaceBook and MySpace..

Who says they don't make ingame updates? Since they don't announce every update they do, by default they didn't make an update? They always work on new updates for ingame and release them.

Since a month ago, when they released that new quality setting, I've seen more and more people lagging to no extent. More than I have ever seen. But the amount I have seen which stopped lagging after an update. I'm not talking about ingame updates like a new brick type or a new quality setting or a new screenshot feature. I am talking about the fact that almost all engiens that they use to run this game are out dated. And to prove the point let me make the following facts: My PC costs over 8 thousand dollars. My PC can play the original Crysis mutliplayer on all max settings with not even one second of lag duing the whole duration of my time on it. Yet my PC can't even play ROBLOX for 5 seconds wihtout getting lag. The original Halo for PC has water. The original Halo for PC has good graphics. The original Halo for PC has good physics. The original Halo for PC can run o nteh same system requirements as ROBLOX The original Halo for PC came out before ROBLOX. Way before ROBLOX. And if you say something about "It's just my computer" then you are wrong. I am certified by Microsoft for networking and A+ hardware courses. I know what I'm talking about. I've done my research. And I have taken classes on the matters. ROBLOX is a crap game. But it wouldn't be so much if they used the money from BC on other things than the server space for hats and gears.. Maybe they should have hired 10 new coders to improve the games stabillity insteado f 10 new hat and gear makers to create items that we already have over 60 pages of.. The community doesn't need new hats of half the community can't even play a lag free game.
