I am getting sick of seeing places stolen by noobs. The orignal creators working so hard.. Just to have someone steal their place, or models, and not even give them credit.
We are sick of these people. All of us are.
We dont want people Plagiarising our models we took long to make. They dont even give us credit. What they DO though is say its their own models, that they made.
So I offer this idea:
On models and places, next to the "report abuse" Button, there would be one as "report plagiarism".
You then pick a place, file, or model you made which is identical to the plagiarised model.
An admin (Or hired person, Im willing to do this.) will then check if the model is plagiarised or not.
--What to check for----------------------------------------------------------
Date and time created
Decals & colours (Its easy to recolour a model or add a decal to call it yours.)
Credit (If the person had added credits or not to the model)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apon making a model, under discription, there is a bar to type out credits for the original creator of the model or place.
If the model is stolen, or used without credit, the player is banned or warned for plagiarism. |

What if somebody reports the origional without knowing it's ACTUALLY the origional? |

This is pathetic. Joo-Don't-Understand. Noobs (specifically DAH NEW ONES) often copy models into their Place because ONE: They're new and they can't program... usually... TWO: They expect to gain popularity by taking a model and claiming it as there own THREE: They might not fully understand how the CREATOR of the model MADE the model.
If it's an '08er, we got a problem. However, this "plagiarism" thing is only suitable for experienced players... reporting an '010er is pathetic.
I'm basically three-fourths supporting this while at the same time telling you not to whine.. |

Please under stand that the ONLY way to take models or places is to put them up in free models. (not counting that place exploit steal thing I heard about...) If the place is in FREE MODELS that means they WANT people to take it and use it. |

This idea is not about free models, it's about people hacking into someone else's account and stealing their places/models.

Tell me this, I do take free models, but I EDIT them. Is THAT plagiarism then?

I notice me and that other guy are the only '010er in here O_o hehe lol, well anyway, why not just ask them nicely first to not copy your models and if they still do put bad comments and tell everyone to look at your model's date? |

@shadow. Yes, but if you notice on some models, at the end of the Desc., Usually people put up the following: "Please give me credit if you use my model." Or something similar to that.
Noobs however, do not, and publish it saying they made it. |
