Ok. ROBLOX, you're doing a REALLY bad job about banning people right now.. the only thing I see people banned about is if they're caught saying something inappropriate with the filter or if they have a secret swear word or anything related to that.
But you don't..
1. Pay attention to TK and SK reports.
2. Bother about exploit reports (for you idiots who don't know what an 'exploit' is, it's the proper term of your word 'hack').
3. Care about the seven and eight-year-olds who get offended and nothing happens.
4. Regard racial, drug-related, or religious-argumental reports.
This NEEDS to be fixed.
1. TKing and SKing
Ok, we can all agree this is not a biggee and not a must-be-fixed-nao-otherwise-5,000-people-will-leave thing, but it should do SOME damage. I don't ask a ban, not even a 1-Day, but simply a reminder. If you get 5 reminders in this category, you get banned.
2. Exploiting
This is a must. We HAVE to work this trash out. Games are ruined, servers are trashed, things are configured, but what happens in a report? Not much. Depending on the nature of the exploit, these are the consequences:
1. Godding or loopkilling
A reminder, 3 reminders in this category and get a 1-Day/3-Day.
2. Speed-exploiting and others
A reminder, 3 reminders in this category and get a 1-Day.
3. Rude or Mean Behavior
Bring the Non-PAing rule ingame! For PAing, you get a reminder. Three reminders in this category and get a 1-Day.
4. Racial, drug, alcohol, or religious related references
A reminder, get three of any in this category and get a 1-Day, 3-Day, or 7-Day depending on nature.
ROBLOX, please, for the sake of gaming, and not to mention the Forums, ENFORCE THE DARN RULES.

The thing is, I usually try to be optimistic about the mods by saying that they're doing something a certain way when they're not exactly doing it, but I simply HATE the way they handle the reports.

Nowhere in the rules is it forbidden to TK and SK. Those are just annoyances that you have to deal with.
Exploiter reports are dealt with differently than regular reports, and require the ability to mimic them in house for us to be able to work on them. It's a lengthy process and due to security we don't talk about it. Like, ever.
..I'm sorry that you're offended that someone yelled at you? I'm sorry, but there is only so much that we can do. If someone is really going off on you and won't stop (chasing you down into other games, sending you constant PM spam, etc.) then we can ban them for harassing you. We aren't going to ban someone who keeps shooting you in a shooting game. We have an exit button. It should be used.
Religious arguments are moot, as religious discussion isn't really allowed on the website. If it's a discussion in game that's one thing, on the forums it's not allowed.
In the real world, if you walked up to a police officer demanding that they yell at someone for calling you ugly, what do you realistically think would happen?
While we try to keep things more civil on Roblox, a bit of it has to be taken into your own hands. If someone calls you stupid or whatever, just ignore them. If they don't stop, leave the game. If they follow you, report their messages in a new game, or any PMs that they give you.
As for TKing and SKing. There IS a system in place. Make better weapons. Spawn points will place a force field around you to prevent you from dying if the weapons in the game are scripted properly. Same goes for team killing, it is entirely possible to make it where a weapon will not damage a fellow teammate. |

They even stated this isn't a real offense. A long time ago they said they added it to strike fear into the Team Killers and Spawn Killers hearts. Also this is impossible with their current report system. |

Support. So far, the mods fail at banning. They barely read exploit reports. There isn't even an option on the report button for exploiting =/ |

In the problem with bans, a php forum would allow the moderators and admins (depending on powers given) to ban people from the forum, however, the game would be seperate from the forums and game bans would be a seperate process all together. |

No, I am not at all offended that someone yelled at me. In fact, I'm one of the people here trying to lower the shouts of the people who are fricken' annoyed by this person who called him a noob.
TKing and SKing? I'm not at all close to being annoyed by that. That was just a mere "try to stop the raised voices of victims of TKers and SKers."
And MrDoom, I don't think you get my purpose. Your thought of me right now is probably, "Wow, just another noob who thinks that we don't do anything with the report system." It's not that at all.
My point was to gain information of whether or not you were actually doing ANYTHING at all about this. And partly to stop the commotion about the "idiotic mods" who don't think twice about reports.
Seriously, I don't have a problem with anything bad said, done, or made ingame, but I know some are annoyed and offended, and want the offended to suffer the consequences.
When I began this post, it actually veered off in the wrong direction. My first thought was to make stronger bans for those who do something wrong. Then this turned out. |

Unfortunately, MrDoom, not everyone is as fluent in the language of scripting as you are, and some people may not be able to edit the script.
Now before you tell me to just go ask the scripters for help, I'm going to say this:

It's not that I don't want to learn, it's just that I can't learn simply by reading a wiki article. I am currently only minutely fluent in the programming language used by the Ti-84 Plus Silver Edition Calculator.
The problem I'm pointing out is that the Scripters are terrible at giving help. |
