What was ROBLOX? ROBLOX was a place for imagination, somewhere where we could could just come and build with friends without worrying what other people thought.
Before Gear, Faces, Heads, Bodies.... Before All the Builder's Clubs..... Before Shadows, Animations, the blue background you see on the site, before the spam and the wars between groups/clans..... ROBLOX was a place where we could have fun and just BUILD.
What is ROBLOX today? Money, BC, Gear, Faces, Heads.... and now Bodies. I fear that we might have lost our BLOX, good users. For today, all that ROBLOX has become.... Is almost nothing more than just an online social network. Worrying about whose avatar looks the best...... The BUXsplosion of Hats and Gear..... Not to mention we have been over run by more kids who never had the experience of the old ROBLOX, the ones who spam, Online Date, and Troll our forums. They never had the experience of what ROBLOX truly had to offer.
Give me the good ol' days when all we had were our imaginations, some friends, and a couple o' bricks and the copy tool... And none of this free model crap.

I know my account says that I joined on April 11, '09, but I'm an 07-er. I was playing ROBLOX from when it first began. (I DIDN'T HAVE AN ACCOUT YET, BUT I USED A FRIEND'S ACCOUNT.)

ROBLOX has taken it's focus off of the building feature that ROBLOX has, and it's turned it's attention to the social aspect of the website, the costs of virtual items and currency, items, and, worst of all, money.
Don't believe me?
Check the news for yourself. Almost everything now has to do with money, hats and gear.
We didn't come here to accessorize, we came here to play.
I understand that ROBLOX needs money because of the country's and California's econimic recession, but ROBLOX shouldn't make unreasonably high prices for almost EVERYHING on the site. It might be pay-to-play, soon.
ROBLOX has become more of a Myspcace or Facebook.
We now have Instant Messaging, status updates, best friends (I sorta like best friends), and groups.
We aren't Facebook.
We're ROBLOX.

I DON'T want to undo any past or future updates. This thread has nothing to do with that. My goal is to help re-form ROBLOX into a state that it once was, a user-friendly, evreryone-was-nice-to-each-other state.
That state was truly 'Epicsauce.'

IT HAS GONE FAR ENOUGH! ROBLOX, these are my suggestions to you:
1. Stop focusing on hats and more ways to pay, and bring your focus back to game updates. There is a lot more ROBLOX can do if they pay more attention to the games, instead of 'Limited Items.'
2. In-Game saving. Because building with friends is the most fun I have ever had on ROBLOX until it was taken away. Like Siberith9 said, it makes all the games look way better, and it helps builders improve.
3. LISTEN TO THE USERS MORE. We have feelings, too.
4. READ THE S&I FORUMS MORE, TOO. You have no idea what we want unless you actually look.
5. ... And maybe fix the contest system? I hate it when free modelers take over.
Isn't that right, SONIC?

First of all for a kid's site it's rather open, there's barely any fun kids sites, heck most disney games don't let you do ANYTHING without paying

I believe this thread was created out of rage. A1000 is completely right, none of this is ROBLOX's fault. They try their best to moderate ROBLOX, okay so maybe they could do with more moderators, but not everyone's perfect! |

Trolls and spammers = Parts of a forum; you can NEVER GET RID OF THEM.
Also, the game itself is still free. Of course, I agree with you that they're focusing too much on the social aspect of the game, but that's it. ROBUX is our primary currency;
Besides, what's wrong with progress? Animations made the game better. If you go back to 06, we couldn't play multiplayer games and our bodies didn't move.

Yeesh, already I got a guy shoving his two cents down my esophagus.
Look, I'm not an idiot for making this thread.
Many other users have made threads just like mine, and I find people giving them praise on how right they are.
Yes, I made this thread, out of rage, two months ago. That was because I took my eye off of the game for a second to actually see what ROBLOX has become. The ROBLOX News isn't news anymore, it's just advertisements for some overpticed Hat/Gear. The News hasn't informed me of anything related to the game in a while. If I wanted news about an item, I would just look in the catalog.
I don't know why you think I'm an idiot, A1000, but you'd think ROBLOX would have the common courtesy and giving us what most users want: to be heard.
I haven't taken all of my information from other users, and I'm not an idiot. I went and took a look for myself, comparing to how it was way back when. I mean, they don't give us Tix Hats as much as they used to.
The contest system isn't the community's fault... Unless there all noobs voting that a free-modeled place is better than one that was actually built. The contest system needs to change. I don't see what ROBLOX was thinking when they made a voting system. It's broken, and too many lazy users use free-models instead of building it themselves.
Landzor, I don't know if they need more moderators, but I think ROBLOX is fine with all the ones the have now. They just need to shape them up, because I feel they aren't doing their job. |
