Here's a little suggestion, well, not so little...
One thing Roblox has neglected a bit is the drive to get people making htier own movies about Roblox. Sure, they may have a "ROBLOXiwood" Forum, but nothing very big seems to come from there (no offence movie makers).
What I reckon Roblox should do, is to make a compitition. I can see this being a lot of fun, as long as people have the incentive to do it.
The video on the front page hasn't changed in about 6 months, I thinbk we'd all like a change from "The Toothy Deer Man". How about this?
Roblox makes a competition on who can create the best video showing all the best stuff in it. This will get the community involved, Roblox can use the video to promote themselves, and the winner gets a great prize! The competition would mean that a higher quality video can be achieved, and we can all have fun voting for our favourites.
Hopefully, Roblox will see this, and see the potential for greatness.

I feel it is far too orientated towards small children. I often think Roblox has forgotten the people hwo make the levels, and those who script them. I don't know any 10 year olds who can script....
If it wasn't for the older audience of Roblox, there wouldn't be any games, no games, no crummy little kids playing, no Roblox. So I think Roblox should aim to include the older people in the audience.... |

Quick note, to turn on sound, you need hypercam 3 if you want sound from the game or whatever, but there should be an options tab or something, click on it, sound, stereo mix. Then you can have mic and sound from game. |

Everyone should have the oppurtunity to show what they love about Roblox.
A certain MMORPG game epacsenur (Spelt it backwards or Roblox filters it) created an ingame tool to help people make thier own movies. They called it the Orb of Oculus which allowed players to leave the body locked camera and let it roam. Undoubtly someone could easily script it. Roblox just needs to distribute it.
I can see this working, and Roblox could use the winner on the Homepage and use it as a laicremmoc (again filtered, read it backwards) for their website, for them, its a win win situation.

Like the current contests, YES!
I think they'd need to be more lenient on the voting systems though. At the moment, one wrong choice could end up with -5
If you are watching a vid, that takes longer than just looking at a place picture.
It could also mean more publicity for Roblox if they decide that any of the videos are worth using in thier @dv3rts. (Filtered word) |
