[1] Welcome To The Roblox Forums!
You've just joined ROBLOX. You're new. You're cool. You're... a total failcaik. You don't even know how to move in game, and nobody will talk to you to tell you how. Moreover, you can’t even TALK, or hear anybody else talk! So, you log onto the Forums to get help! You expect the Forums to be a great place, where you can introduce yourself, talk with others, get questions answered, and get answers on how to play, all while enjoying the benefits of superior formatting, pictures in your threads, proper signatures, etc. But instead, spam abounds. Grammar and spelling isn't used anywhere, and noobs don't get banned for not using it even though it's a forum rule. There is inappropriate content everywhere that fails to get deleted for the first 15 minutes it’s up. So you leave. And ROBLOX loses a player. Sadface for them and for you…
[2] So, What Do We Do About It?
Well, I'll tell ya, boi. You know that there's tons of other forums on the Internet, right? There are. Go to ANY forum you want. It'll have the ability to move threads, edit posts, make colored text, have real signatures and not copy-pasted junk, etc. And some of them are even FAN MADE (RobloxHQ, for instance. This might have been supplemented by Clockwork, but still. Not bad for a fan site.) and they've got better stuff than ours. So why can't we? The answer to that is... WE CAN. The Roblox Developing Team just ISN'T... And I've got no idea why, but here comes the next number thingie!!!
[3] The Solution
It's really quite simple. ROBLOX upgrades its forums to use BBCode or something (what, I don’t know forums and stuff, I ain’t no webmaster, but I do know they CAN get a forum setup with the proper tools.) Since they get an insanely high income from all those people who constantly buy tens of thousands of R$ and have OBC monthly that they never cancel, not to mention outside ads, BC and TBC, they should be able to get a better forum. So they get a better forum code, delete the current forums for as long as it takes to transfer posts (see #5 for more details on transferring threads) to the new forum code, and then, once they are done, the forums reopen after being closed for a period of time. Forums are still up on test sites. Any text additions that were made with the Edit Button in the new code would appear after something that says “Edit on exampledate-exampledate-exampledate 10:10 AM” which the filter would not allow to be posted.
[4] IF YOU HAVE FLAWS TO POST, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
Yes. There could be flaws, but here are the fixes to spammers changing their posts to not be banned and the problem of no forums for two weeks. First of all, you can't delete text in posts when editing them. And forums on test.roblox.com could be open for the two weeks when the main is closed down. Then they can upgrade test, then sitetest, then gametest. If there are any other flaws you have found, please post them, if possible, with a solution, and if you can't find a solution, we can work together to find a way around the problem.
[5] Fixes & Additions: Version v1.02
To keep people occupied, and people who have BC not mad at ROBLOX, during this time of forum transfer, the old forums would be up on sitetest, the games would be up on gametest, and there would be a special contest for scripters on test.roblox.com called “Redesign ROBLOX!” The description reads something like this: “In celebration of our renovation of both the forums and the games on www.roblox.com, which is currently offline, we are having a contest where the best scripters of ROBLOXia create a place ENTIRELY made of GUIs! Please make it aim to be a replica of the ROBLOX site! The people with the most quality and most recent GUI versions of www.roblox.com will receive an award! Voting accuracy has been removed. Instead of voting, we’ve now got a new way for popularity to be determined, and for the voters to be rewarded: Contest Voting Participation! If you are a voter, you get prizes JUST for voting the places you visit (accessible from the button that says ‘View the Places Entered in this Contest’ list) on a 1 to 10 scale. The more points a place gets, the higher it’s ranked and the more prizes its creator gets. Make sure to give us feedback on this new system! Thanks!” The first quality contest ever. See? This solves EVERYONE’s problems… pretty much, anyway. (PLEASE NOTE THAT IP TRACKING WILL BE ENABLED ON THIS CONTEST TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM CREATING ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS TO GIVE THE PLACE THAT THEY HAVE ENTERED IN THE CONTEST ON THEIR MAIN ACCOUNT POINTS AND THEREBY CHEAT TO GET PRIZES)
Only threads with activity in the past week that are not spam get transferred to the new forum code, and all the chain messages and comments on all places will be deleted. To make up for this, maybe the devteam could give us a 1-week notice in the News. After the first 3 days, comments are frozen, meaning nobody can comment. After the next 2 days, comments that are 1 month old or more get deleted. Once the update starts, all comments are deleted.
A “Lock Thread” button for your own threads, even if they’ve already been posted on, and an auto-lock for threads that haven’t been posted on in a month. This would be good for LMaD, SH, BH, maybe RT, and even S&I! Imagine, a suggestion from ’06 goes into effect, then falls to the bottom of the forum. Four years later in 2010, a noobish ‘10er necrobumps it, getting flamed by everyone. This would fix this problem.
[6] Conclusioncaik
Well, this is just about it. Just some post rules now: DON'T post TL;DR. The antidote is coming up soon. DO use proper spelling and grammar. DON'T post mindless criticism. Make it constructive, e.g. "I like this, but X needs to have Y happen to make it un-abusable and/or unspammable" or something. Or maybe "No, and here's why: exampletexthere" or something like this. Plus the general rules of the forum. DON'T post "oversuggested" or "reposted" because I need to have this heard. TL;DR antidote time.
[7] READ THIS IF NOTHING ELSE, ANYONE WHO POSTS TL;DR
(BE WARNED, this is the canned, TL:DRer version. You will not get as broad an understanding of an idea from reading this, and therefore, I will ignore anybody who reads only this and flames me.)
Shut down the Forums for two weeks or more to upgrade them, and open the games on gametest, forums on sitetest, and a special contest on test just to keep the scripters and builders of ROBLOX occupied.

@RevolutionGG: The old thread was v1.01, this one is v1.02. I update the version each time I repost, and add a little something new to the thread each time. A new addition, a new update, a new fix, whatever is necessary to make this thread nearer to perfection. I try not to repost the same thread... But if you search the Forums for:

@AeLiStAs3, or whatever your name is: TL;DR stands for Too Long; Didn't Read. No worries, it's not a noobish question, I went for about my first 1,000 forum posts without knowing what it meant, and whenver someone said it or mentioned it I'd be like "WTFudge does TL;DR mean?" in my head, but I never actually asked.
@frozengaia: That would be epic sauce. I'd also get myself an Alienware Aurora, an Alienware m17x, and one of those new autostereoscopic 3D monitors that Microsoft's made. Then, I'd make sure my house was next to an Internet substation, and get a T1 line, for the ULTIMATE in gaming. I'd also get a cool microphone array and a professional webcam for making videos and stuff. Now THAT would win.
