Hey, this is my first post on S&I, and probably my last too.
I use my iPod Touch often, and I was thinking if Roblox became an app.
It would take a lot of work, sure, but it might be worth it.
Even if not able to play games at first, just to check your account.
They can use the zoom-in feature of the Touch/iPhone.
They could even make games. Touch buttons could be at the bottom to control your character, and face the way you wanna go by turning the iPod.
Just a thought. What do you think?

Ross, while the points you made are correct, you are only looking at the controls perspective. If you look at the actual hardware of the iPod Touch, you would know that the chances of it actually running ROBLOX smoothly would be not very high.
My PC has DX10, 4 GB of DDR2 RAM, NVIDIA GTX 285 with 2 GB GDDR3 video RAM, and a Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz and T1 wired Internet. Everything overclocked.
My iPod Touch has no DX version, 85 MB of RAM (In fact the actual iPod has 60. I hacked it to give me more.), I'm not sure the GPU it has, and a single core ARM processor underclocked to about 300 MHz and a MAX of 300 KBPS over WiFi.
I can't see how ROBLOX could ever run on the iPod's specs seeing as **Crysis** runs smoother on all max than ROBLOX does on all minimum.. |

He doesn't mean just to browse ROBLOX. He means to enter ROBLOX games from your iPod. For my response to this, read my other post.. |

cobalt10 makes a good point. The software and the visual settings of the iPod just arent safe or "combatable" for downloaded games. Maybe, just maybe, if ROBLOX made a flash or App version of this game, it may work. So, you would have to go to the PC to build, but could still play mobile ROBLOX games. Eitherway, the lag would be horrible. |

I agree i would like roblox for Iphone/ Ipad. What makes that possible or not is wether roblox can improve it so it does not use the program(s) that is/ are not usable from other OS's (remember: Roblox is currently only commpatible with Windows OS). The other solution is the company(s) that makes that/ those program(s) adapts them to work on the Iphone/ Ipad. |

i would just sa like they should have a free app but you can just make shirts,t-shirts,pants and stuff like that.and they should make you buy one if you want to play and stuff.

Surprisingly enough, multiplayer games do exist for the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad. Archetype being one of those apps. So while a multiplayer game over WiFi is indeed possible, a ROBLOX version for these platforms would be a long ways away.. |

Agreed. *ding* Better idea! Why not if roblox can afford it, they sell their own portable system made serperatly FOR roblox? Think about it. A Pocket sized little thing that could only run ROBLOX. With enough tools and resources, it just might work!

They have already made an app called Eden that is similar to roblox so I don't think it is too far out of reach |

Well they got the social aspect out into app form, too bad they can't do the building or playing games part. But i guess it would be difficult to do all that without a keyboard |
