NOTE: If you don’t want to read all of this, go down to the TL;DR version, be sure to also read the notes.
Many years ago there was a circle of powerful mages, the most
powerful in all of this land. This is a side-by-side dimension, next
to ours. Here in the other world, there are creatures never before seen by
any human being except in myths. Trolls, pixies, elves, orcs...
dragons. Name it, it's here.. The circle of mages decided to work together and
create Stones of Essence, which took the... essence of each creature
and it was confined in a stone.
However, these stones were like magic wells. The essence was so
powerful in it that it would allow mages to actually use the powers of
that particular creature, such as, a dragon stone would allow them the ability to breathe fire.
This drew the ur-Viles. The ur-Viles are sort of like demons, however they don't have
horns or things like that. They are pure black, and when in a group, from a
distance they look like one huge shadow. They are taller than the
average human, stronger, bulkier. Their skin feels like stone, and is
about as hard as dry earth. They use weapons, true, but they also use
the power of their Lore, which is sort of like magic. It allows them
to control the natural energy around them, and so are dangerous foes.
There's only one Leader per group of ur-Viles, and they usually contain about 100 ur-Viles per group.
The ur-Viles started to attack the creatures here in the other world. They
retreated to a central fortress where the mages were. The Stones were
made of these creatures, and since the ur-Viles wanted this power,
they would absorb the energy from creatures and Stones alike. The
mages worked together to open a dimensional portal, and sent the
stones through... to OUR world, soon after doing this though… The mages ended up dying out... The stones on the other hand, ended up inside the bo.dies of unbo.rn children, who, due to the fact that they didn’t simply POSSESS the stones, the stones where within them, not only would they gain the abilities of whichever essence was in their stone, they would gain some attributes too. (Ex: A dragon stone = wings, claws, fangs, etc.)
Then it happened… the Ur-Viles, seeing as the stones had been sent to the human world, had started to grow in power, they had been working, training, getting ready… And then…. They attacked.
They began to attack one village at a time, but leaving all of the goods, just draining energy, attempting to gain enough power to open up a huge portal to the human world so they could ki.ll the chi.ldren and steal their sto.nes, the pixies, a small, frail, but magical race saw what was happening, and a small group of them who had known the mages well used their magic to open a small portal to temporarily connect the human world and the otherworld, and they stole the children with the ston.es away while they where sleeping and took them back to the otherworld. When the children awoke, oddly, fully clot.hed, the pixies explained everything to them, their stone, their past, everything. And then they where told that it was their duty to save the otherworld, and their own. Because if the Ur-Viles get ahold of the stones… Both worlds will be under their cruel control.
Short Version (A.K.A: TL;DR version):
Basically, some mages created Stones out of the creatures in the other world.
Each stone provides powers and physical features of that creature to
whoever it linked to. The ur-Viles are evil and want the power to
destroy the world and make it into one huge he.ll on Earth. They need
the Stones power to do this, but the mages sent the power to the Human
Earth, so the ur-Viles use the creatures energy in the other world to reopen the
the portal to the human world and conquer it with stones. Pixies re-opened the portal, took you into the otherworld, and explained everything. This is where you start.
Notes:
-You have a birthmark somewhere on your bo.dy which is the size and shape of your stone, and its right above where your stone is inside of you.
-You can activate your stone and gain characteristics of that
creature, and gain a few of their powers.
-Certain races are admin only.
-Sometimes, not often, but sometimes a few parts of your creature might pop out even when you aren’t transformed, this doesn’t allow you the powers though, it just makes you look funny.
-You do NOT start out knowing everything, as far as you know, you are a normal kid, who just so happens to have an odd birthmark, but other than that, you are NORMAL.
Rules (MUST READ TO BE ACCEPTED!)
+No godmodding, ubering, etc.
+Romance is to be kept to an ultimate minimum, sorry, but due to recent flare outs with mods vs rp’ers on the discussion of what is ok or not ok when it comes to romance in rp’s, I have decided to remove romance from my rp’s, the most you can do is hug or ki.ss on the cheek, I don’t want any of my joiners banned or such.
+If you aren’t accepted, don't just be like: "this is stup.id
*ragequit*" fix what you are told and you can be accepted. (actually try to fix it)
+Admins word is law, unless they are obviously being unfair.
+If you are one of the kids with an Essance stone, you are 16
+Put Other world in your cs if you read these
+Be realistic (don't use your stone constantly, you have limited energy)
+3 strikes and you're out
+No auto-hitting.:(Here is an example on how PvP battles should go like):
When fighting with another player character, you cannot state that an attack hit. That is called "Auto-hitting" and is against the rules of standard role playing. You can only initiate an attack in a post. It is up to the opponent to decide whether it hits or not. For example:
Ace brought his arm back and shot a fireball at Luffy.
Next it can go either two directions depending on the opponent's decision.
Luffy tried to jump out of the way, but was caught in the fireball. He quickly dropped to the ground and rolled to put out the fire.
OR: Luffy ducked low to the ground to avoid the fireball. It narrowly went over his head, but singed a few of his hairs.
As you can see, this makes fighting fair. However, there is the problem of people dodging every single attack. This is not allowed. Characters must take a hit every once in a while, even if it is a scratch. If I notice that a character is dodging every single attack, I have every right and full authority point it out.(Same with admins) I can also point out when a character should have run out of energy, fallen from accumulated injuries, or reached their limit, but I will likely only exercise this during player character vs. player character battles.
+No all-knowing characters (if you're not in a scene, don't say you
know that. be unknowing)
+No mary-sues. (Have flaws, don’t pull the spotlight on yourself, and don’t suddenly start revealing the plots around the deep intricate prophesy surrounding your OH SO IMPORTANT CHARACTER.
+No temporary owners of the thread.(Though admins can, but only if I SAY I am leaving first, ether that if they KNOW for a fact I left, and I forgot to say so, you get the point.)
+No ur-Viles or Admin Only unless you're admin.
+To gain your powers/weapon/features you MUST activate your stone. you
know how to do this: it's instinct.(But you can’t do it before the pixie explains it)
+If a character puts ‘ around words, they're thinking it. other
characters can NOT know what is said then.
+you do not completely transform into a creature, you gain physic.cal
charac.teristics (if you're a Roc, you may gain 2 heads and wings)
