My idea is a Connect Place feature. Basically, in Configure, there is a group of boxes entitled "Connect this Place". There would be five boxes. The first box would be where you would put the place ID of the place you want to connect your place to. The second box would have the direction (north, south, east, west) that you would have your place connected to the other one in. The third box would have to number of studs away from the 0, 0, 0 position that you would have to go before reching the other place. The fourth box would ask you if you want to be able to see the other place when you are in your place. The fifth box would be asking you if you want to see the conversation and the player list of the other place. After you do that, it will send a message to the owner of the other place asking if you want to do this. If they say yes, then the places are connected, and you can access one place by walking a certain distance in the Other. Here's an example: "I want to connect place 1333337 to my place when I walk to the south 300 studs away from the center of the map. I do not want to be able to see one place when I am in another, but I do want to see the other place's conversation and player list." This would benifit people like this: Say you are the leader of a clan warring with another caln. You may want to connect one of your forts to their fort so that you can attack them without switching places and ending up on a different server than your men. This could help people in another way, like so: Say you and your friend are building a mountain range. Your friend builds one half, and you build the other half. You then connect the places so that they can be a whole mountain range! I like the idea. Do you? Please no mean comments.

Yes, this would cause lagg ALOT. But its a good idea. -Your not epic if you say you are-

Hmm, I don't really understand. Can you do it in game, or only in Studio? Also, I think there should be teleporters, so like you can go to another game, but it's a separate server and a GUI comes up that lets you choose the server, so you don't get lost without your friends, and both places must have the teleporter for it to be operational, if it is two separate places.

If you go with my idea of it, it wouldn't really cause too much lag. I guess it's almost supporting, more like neutral.

It would be ingame, and why would teleporters be nessacary? And the server would be the match for the other server. Like if you're in the second server of the place, you would be connected to the second server of the other place.

I thought of that, but what if there isn't another server, would it still be operational, like create another server? Also, it would be a problem, because you could link to a game that the owner doesn't want to be linked with any game.. Sorry for the grammar. Also, you could set the Transparency of the teleporter to 1, so it's invisible, and the CanCollide to False, so you can walk through it, and you wouldn't need to worry about people seeing it..

Did you not read the post? It would send the owner of the game a message asking if the owner wants his game to be linked, and what if you want the two games be seeable from eachother? Teleporters would just hinder that. And yes, another server would be created if there were none already there.

Your idea is hard to understand. You want to put places together, in the DOM, but using Roblox Arbitrary units? That doesn't make sense.

OK, I have no idea what you just said.

Also, how do you know where North, South, East and West is when using Roblox Arbitrary units? Oh, and what would be the point of loading multiple RBXL files and parsing them, when you can just build your place?

OK, north, south, east and west can easily be found with gear or by looking at the place's studs. I still don't know what the heck you're saying with the other parts.

Pros: - Clan wars Cons: - Lag fest - Exploit-friendly - You never mentioned a lock on who you can connect with, or if you need permission, so I could just connect with some famous place, and make it so that when they enter, if they move 1 stud in a certian direction, they end up on my map. One tix for everyone that does that? ... Sorry, but no support.

Does nobody read this? I specifically said that it would message the owner of the other place asking them if they would like to connect. I've even mentioned that in the comments.

@rebel: Okay, but cons still outnumber pros 2-1. And the only pro that I came up with is not supported by ROBLOX. They don't like war clans and clan wars, they are trying to keep this website as G-rated as possible.

Those are just your opinion. To someone else, this might have pros outnumber cons 3-1.

It would cause MASSIVE lag. Like 1 frame/hour lag. Just build more stuff in the direction you want to!
