When I was 10, my mom got cancer. At the time, I didn't think much of it. That is, until she started living in the hospital. 3 years later, she died. I remember the day like it was just yesterday. It was December 15, and my dadand I were sitting in my mother's hospital room. We had to leave, so I could get to sleep. I remember waking up in the middle of the night to my dad's crying. I walked in, and he told me what happened. My mother had died that night.
My dad was work-a-holic, so I barely saw him. One day, I was waiting for him to come home, but he never showed. It was the same day my mother had died, Christmas Eve. I thought it was a bit ironic when we got news that my dad had died in a car crash on the way home.
My name is Kristi Danielle Allane. People call me Triste, since it means sad in French, and everyone sees me as the 'sad girl.' but, I'm not sad, just thoughtful. Every Christmas, my parents visit me. It may sound odd, but they come back angels. People think it is wierd for me to think this, but I just know it is true.
