You find a backpack in the plane (Well duh) You find loose metal and wood lying around. But most importantly- you find lots of food in the back of the plane!

Take some of the good pieces of wood and metal and put it in the bag. Find a piece of wood that fits into my hand pretty good and then a piece of sharp metal. jam the metal in to the wood to make a type of sword.
