Hi all, I think it's evident that Roblox places have gone down hill lately... I think part of the reason is that the only real materials you have to work with are pictures and bricks. If you decide to read only one of my proposals, I strongly suggest it be the second one as that is far more important than the first.
One thing that had entered Roblox history for a short, yet meaningful, period of time was DHTML (Dynamic HTML). This feature was much loved by many players and had many purposes including sets of instructions, interactive shops, and even dialog boxes. Sadly this feature was removed from Roblox due to “Security Reasons” and hasn't been seen since. What I suggest as a replacement to the DHTML that was used before is a watered down version that may be capable of only doing simple things like displaying a section of text. The reason I would like this added is because, if you haven't already noticed, the only effective way to display something like a storyline to a user has been to make a Decal, upload it to the site, wait for it to be checked by mods, and then add it to a brick in your place. This is a very slow process that makes it difficult to change text on the fly.
The second thing that I strongly suggest and think might be even more important that the text box is a means of data storage for the common user. Some way to store a few lists of variables on an external source would infinitesimally improve the quality of Roblox games. Creators would now finally be able to make a decent save/load system that could load a person's stats in an RPG as soon as they entered the game without having to copy down a code that could be hundreds of characters long. I don't think this would take up that much server space at all and you could even limit the size of this storage to 1mb or less even.

What I was offering was a watered down version where only text would be available.. not external pictures or HTML links. |

Basically it's the ability to make pop-up ish windows that you can move and resize that have text in them..
It would be used for instructions, dialog, and maybe even stats. (anything that requires a large amount of text to be shown) |
