Well I can't really decide cause I like many genres.I'm not too crazy about hip hop,rap is okay with me as long as it is old school rap,I been listening to metal before I could even speak so I would say metal.

Hip Hop it's just some dirty lyrics i'm not saying they are all like that, but metal speaks about real life situations and what we are thinking. They just put it to words.

I like both, but I HATE it when people say that Rap has no meaningful lyrics. Go listen to "When I'm Gone" and "Stan" by Eminem, and B.o.B's latest album. There's plenty of meaningful lyrics. And for Metal, there are meaningful lyrics in that too, but I mostly listen to Post-Hardcore and some Metalcore.
